Normal bleeding ?

Had C section 15th of May and stopped bleeding 2 weeks after but then it’s started again but it’s starting and stopping and was a dark brown until today and now it’s kinda went a pinky red colour I don’t remember this happening with my first section and I’ve been to the doctors twice now and they keep saying it’s fine but can’t tell me why it’s happening

I had really unusual bleeding for about 3 months after the C-section. Mine also stopped after 10 days then name back, similar to your experience but then turned into an extremely heavy period for about 8 weeks, I was sent for ultrasounds etc and it was deemed normal. My periods finally regulated after some time. I was advised of passing clots larger than 50p the need to be checked, otherwise it’s normal x

I am going through this right now after giving birth on 21st May.
I have a very tender abdomen with mine though so have been back and forward from MAU and after a scan yesterday they have found retained materials, possibly a clot or part of my placenta. (Dont mean to scare you with this).
I have been advised to go back again if I have any of the following, so hopefully you won't have these, but if you do, just call your MAU triage;

- excessive red bleeding that floods a pad within 1-2 hours
- any clots larger than 50p
- a foul smell to whatever is coming out
- feeling fever-ish, so hot / cold etc. and generally just unwell in yourself.

This is my second c section too.

Hope your passes quickly for you x

Hospitals

I am currently pregnant and have not had any scans or tests done (5 months) my midwife has sent out a referral for Birmingham women’s but they haven’t gotten back. I had my first child at heartlands and did not have a good experience therefore I do not want to go back there. Can anyone recommend a good hospital but not too far from Birmingham city centre.

Vaginal birth after emergency c-section

My sons birth ended in an emergency c-section due to complications. He will be nearly 4 and a half when I give birth this time. Has anyone had a vaginal birth after an emergency c-section?

Just a rant!

Just getting frustrated over here- I have been on the list for an elective c section since my first midwife appointment. I will be 39 weeks tomorrow and still don't have my date through. Midwife says all I can do is wait and the hospital is very busy at the moment and lots of people on the list but assures me it will come through. It's not that I need the c section asap, it's more that I want to know the date asap. Part of my reason for wanting an elective is because I don't cope well with the unknown and thought having the date in advance would help. So frustrating but I guess all I can do is wait 🫠

Sibling names way too similar or could it work?

I have a son Edward (we often call him Edward or Teds, he isn’t abbreviated to Eddie) but ive fallen in love woth the name Eidi for a girl 🙈😫 absolutely love it but feel like its way to similar to Edward 😅
I was thinking about using the name Eidith and abbreviate to Eidi.
Edward and Eidith
Edward and Eidi
I guess it kind of works unless Edward is ever abbreviated to Eddie then its just far too similar. Abd he might very well end up going but Ed/Eddie at school ect.
Whats everyone elses opinions?

I have my midwife appt today I am going to ask for a stretch and sweep- but this morning omg! - pressure has been unreal I keep getting random shooting pains in my lower abdomen and I’d say I have like 3 of these an hour - I’m also feeling this pain in rectum with constant intense shooting pains that take me by surprise, I’ve now legit had a full clear out but pain has not subsided, the pelvic pressure is that bad I’m actually unable to walk properly. Walking like a telly tubby Has anyone else had the same and gone into labour?!
