I think I hate this age.

My almost 18-month-old is constantly whining. Nothing holds her attention for longer than 5 minutes and I can’t keep her entertained. She gets so frustrated so fast. She’s in everything and it’s hard to repeat directions 37 times a day.

I hate that I feel this way. Is this normal? Will this get better?

Young toddlers are hard because they can’t have full on conversations yet! I would take a preschooler meltdown any day over the young toddler ones lol. I have a 15 month old and a 4.5 year old. I honestly find older toddlers and preschoolers SO FUN. I love different things about the baby and toddler stage too, but if you don’t like this stage I really do think you’ll find it gets better.

Do you think maybe it’s a phase? My girl (16 months) had a few days of something like this, then went back to “normal” ha. What are you doing to keep her entertained? Just curious. Water has been a huge win for us. Literally just a bowl of water or bucket, toys and sitting outside. Best of luck!

I feel you, my daughter is 17 months and was just screaming for a good 15 minutes. I’m spending a fortune on softplay in the mornings to let her run feral. I find the afternoons the hardest!

You’re not alone! Struggling over here with tantrums, scratching, fussing constantly. I feel exhausted.
She’s my first so can’t tell you it gets better lol.

Maybe she’s teething! I take my son outside when he’s hard to manage.

Sammmee boat and my son just turned two. Whining from the time he wakes up lol. Never wants to be put down. And he gets mad if somthing he wants is not right.

Pram/Stroller Recommendations

Hi!
We currently have a travel system but the seat part doesn't collapse with the chassis and it's becoming a pain to load into the car and store. Any recommendations on good collapsing prams/strollers? I'm looking for something that's good abroad too! It doesn't necessarily need to be another travel system, just anything really! X

Baby sleep

My little girl is 9 months old now and has never been a good sleeper. She is now going through a phase of getting up at 4 am every morning and I try keeping things dark and boring but she is so awake for the day.
She goes to bed around 7pm. Has 2 naps a day. 1 nap - 1hr20 ish, 2 nap - 30 mins ish.
She is a childminders in the day so I can’t control her naps but I wish she would sleep in abit more but feel like I’m just banging my head against a brick wall. Any one else experience and was it ever resolved?

Sleeping position

Anyone else’s baby sleep like this? He can roll back to front but not the other way round but every time I put him to sleep on his back he always ends up like this. I hardly sleep because I’m forever turning him back over or listening to see if he’s breathing. He literally fidgets all night now too

Sleep sack

Hi everyone!!

I’m trying to transition my 12 week old from the love is a dream sleep sack that keeps her arms up to a sleep sack that her arms are free. This is the first night and she has already woken up 3 times within the hour crying ( never has done that)

Any tips to make her more comfortable during this transition?

Her day naps she doesn’t use a sleep sack and is fine.

AITAH or is he?

Husband slept on sofa last night because I was too tired to be intimate (I had been awake from 5am with our baby who had me up throughout the night). This morning our toddler woke at 5.30am and my husband decided to go to the gym at 6am for two hours before work and woke me up to be with our toddler even though I’ve been up every 1–2hrs with our 6 month old baby. I feel so exhausted, he doesn’t do any of the night wakings with the baby. I feel like he’s prioritising gym over my basic need to sleep and then punishing me when i say im too tired for sex. Am I being dramatic or is this a shitty thing to do?

Am I the a**hole?

So our baby is 8 months old, not a great sleeper but I'm not used to waking up every hour/2 hours ever night 😭😂
Basically partner works Monday -Friday 9-3:30 which I understand is still draining, my partner doesn't have to wake up for anything at night as I breastfeed so it's just me that baby will settle for at the moment (I sleep in the same room as baby )
As I don't get much time to myself day or night as baby goes to bed around 6:30pm and I stay with her for the night, sometimes on the weekend I just want an hour or 2 just to relax but my partner says "well I haven't had any time to myself"
But they have from 6:30 until they go to sleep every night plus uninterrupted sleep?!
Am I the a hole for wanting a little time to myself?
