40 weeks today...

I want to let my body do its thing and all, but I woke up this morning feeling absolutely done with pregnancy. I went from "baby will arrive when they arrive" to "get this fucker out" real quick 😅

Gestational Diabetes

I just found out that my 1-hour glucose test result was 285, and the lab person told me I would need to take the 3-hour glucose test if I failed. Since the number seems quite high, I’m wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. Were you diagnosed with gestational diabetes right away, or did you still have to do the 3-hour test? If you had GD, what were your numbers and how was it managed? I’d really appreciate hearing from others who have been through this.

All the beautiful babies are giving me strength at 40 weeks ❤️ biggest mental challenge last few weeks of birth!

Stop and start labour and getting told there is an options for sweeps etc all the time, hard to stay strong with my natural birth plan but the babies are giving me strength! 💕And a new found respect for all the mums that keep having there c sections and inductions pushed back, it’s hard enough waiting for the unknown but sending love to any mums that keep getting there induction and c sections pushed back because it’s so hard this last push when you know there so close to being in your arms! Good luck for this new moon on the 15th 🌕💕

Shortness of breath

I'm 31+5 weeks and been to my midwife appointment today. I've just mentioned that I'm constantly feeling short of breath with minimal daily tasks everything seems like it's a huge effort and having to sit down after doing something simple like standing to make packed lunch or folding laundry. The midwife has sent me to the hospital triage for further tests. I was reluctant because I have health anxiety I hate waiting rooms or being around unwell people. This is the first appointment my partner hasn't attended and then I've been sent to the hospital so I was going alone as well. Is anyone else struggling?

I feel like today has been alot! I've been at the hospital for over 3 hours getting various tests done being sent to different departments, had bloods done all came back fine well my iron is on point the cut off is 105 and mine were 106 so they've given iron tablets anyways. Ecg was fine, chest xray all clear, listened into my chest all clear, walking stats my heart was working harder than they liked on a little stroll, now I've been sent home with blood thinning injections incase there's a blood clot in my lung. I've got an appointment Monday for a scan to check my lungs and to top it off the belly measurement had done a huge jump off the chart and I need a growth scan as well which they think will be Monday too but I need to wait for the call. This is my third pregnancy. I've had very low risk pregnancies previously no growth scans and no complications but I've never felt this short of breath or exhausted but I put it down to babies position either pressing on my lungs or my lungs being squashed a little. Also in terms of the growth scan I feel my bump is literally the smallest I've ever carried still very little and neat but I have never needed a growth scan previously.
I think I'm just looking for reassurance and a rant it's been alot to deal with all day.

Second pregnancy

Has anyone had a GTT and been told they haven’t got gestational diabetes, but been testing at home and numbers are high?

I had gestational diabetes in my previous pregnancy, my fasting numbers were a problem so ended up on metformin and insulin. After meals weren’t too bad, 9 times out of 10 getting under 7.8 after an hour.
I had a glucose test at 14 weeks and again last week at 26 weeks and was told both times my results were normal and didn’t have gestational diabetes this pregnancy. I still have my kit at home so have been testing, and my fasting results have been 5.6 - 5.8 for the past 3 days. After meals have been in range.
Where do I go from here? Do I contact the diabetic midwives and tell them? Or do I just trust the test results from my glucose tests.
