If you chose to have an elective c section, are you happy you had it?

Don’t mean planned/recommended c sections for breech babies etc, I mean if you chose to have a c section purely because you wanted one.

Totally believe every woman should chose how to give birth but curious to see who is happy they made that decision and who perhaps regretted it.

I was booked to have an elective with my second due to my first being a traumatic vaginal birth and wanting to avoid the trauma a second time. In hindsight I always wished my first birth had been an elective c section because it was so horrendous but my second birth ended up being a positive vaginal birth and I’m glad I ended up not having the elective because my recovery from my second birth was very smooth.

Definitely happy I had it and wouldn’t have had a second child if it wasn’t an option. My first child I requested a c section but my midwife said my body can do it, turns out it couldn’t and had a traumatic first which caused horrendous PND. I loved my planned c section it really was the best experience.

Baby boy arrived yesterday 💙

Baby boy arrived at 40 weeks & 5 days. Born yesterday at 10:32am after only arriving at the hospital 8:30am. Didn’t make it out of triage, no time for any pain relief either 😭. But he’s here and safe and worth being overdue for. His older sister is already so besotted with him 💙🩷

My whole world 💖

Baby Amelia arrived at 15:14 on 08/06/2026 weighing 7lbs 7oz.

I was in hospital since the 4th, tried 3 methods of induction, all of which failed. It turns out I can't actually birth vaginally as my pelvis is too small for babies heads so im glad I didn't try a 4th method and keep tormenting myself. Thankfully Amelia coped well with all induction attempts but still needed forceps as she was trying to move into my birth canal 🥹

I had such an overall positive experience in Derby Royal and im just so grateful to have my angel in my arms 💖

Baby’s movement

I’m at a loss as to what to do. Baby’s movements don’t have a patten and never have I’m 33 weeks and Iv been in 5 times now for reduced movement/ non movement. Each time I have gone in baby has been fine and starting kicking away when I got there.

Movements again are reduced Iv tried all the usual stuff and it’s not worked. I just feel like I’m wasting there time as when I get there baby goes to town. How much is to much in regards with movements when will the doctors intervene and do something ?
