C Section Advice

Hi! Our baby is breech, and we just tried an ECV which was unsuccessful at 37 weeks. Our c section is scheduled for June 25. Moms who have had c sections- how can I prepare? Should I get a binder for afterwards? Any tips on how to best care for myself and baby would be so appreciated!

The first 48 hours after will be rough. Let people help you! I got a binder when I was in the hospital but if you want a specific kind of binder you can get that. The binder helped me a lot for the first few days.

Biggest advice, when you are able to walk, do so! It helps the healing. I was able to move around pretty well after a week.

I know its scary. My baby was breeched too so I had a c section in January. My memory is pretty fresh about it so message me if you have any other questions! You will do great!

hi! i had an emergency c-section but i do have advise for afterwards! definitely take all the pain meds they offer! if u keep urself dosed up at their recommendation it helps massively my biggest mistake was trying to thug it threw, i’d definitely wear a binder it helps with keeping your core straight as slouching makes pain worse, bring a pillow for holding ur scar down while laughing, coughing and sneezing also if you need help in hospital or at home, always ask so that your not running yourself down, rest as much as possible!!

If you plan to breastfeed, bring a hands free pump to help boost your supply and do warm compresses often (the first few days will be only bits of colostrum most likely so don’t fret right away or feel pressured to use any alternatives. Trust your gut. Silver cups for nip comfort). Also! A nursing pillow is helpful for your arms if you don’t have a lot of strength :) and stay hydrated and fed as much as possible. Those are my best tips. Period underwear will be your best friend until that period stops. And make sure you have a lot of meals prepped for at least a month bc you’re gonna be so tired you won’t want to cook anything except a frozen meal.

Worried I didn't respond to a mom correctly when asked for a ride to a party we were not invited to

I have autism and social interactions are hard for me. I do not have a poker face when I am disappointed, feel left out ect. This morning I took my twins who are 5 to school like always. I do not know the other parents beyond morning greetings although I'd like to. Another Mom asked me if I'd be able to pick her up and take them to the end of year class party on June 26. I have a mini van so I'm a good person to ask. I realized then that my children who have disabilities were excluded from this class party because we have not recieved an invite. this other mom was assuming we were going because everyone was invited. I tried so hard to hide my disappointment but I failed and said I would be willing to give her a ride anytime but we were not invited so she should ask someone else. She said the invites came out two weeks ago. Did I do ok? I'm feeling unsure now and will overthink it all day

Do you like driving when it’s dark?

When I was much younger, I loved late night drives. But as I’ve gotten older, I can barely see lol that 20/20 bison suddenly left me lol and I just hate driving at night now. Now, I just let my man do all the driving 😂.

Do yall feel the same or you love driving at night?

Birthday party planning trouble

My food plans just went out the window. And best part l have no idea who's coming invited 50 kids (elementary kids) and only 9 have responded. So my idea/plan was. Cook hot dogs and burgers at the park/playground on a grill that we have. Today decided to stop by to see how much shade there would be. And there's a big sign saying NO grills, NO open fire, NO electric grills basically do not cook here. So do l just order pizza or do l cook at my house (10 minutes from park) and bring it there?
