Toddler bed

Is your toddler sleeping in their own bed separately from you?

We are having our second baby soon, and our toddler girl is very attached to us. She doesn't want to sleep in her own room or bed.

How did you make the transition? Any tips?

my son has a floor bed in his own room and around 18 months we started to do bus bedtime routine there and start his sleep in there. it’s a major work in progress 😅 i nurse him to bed in his bed, once he’s asleep i leave and if he wakes up i get him back down in his own bed until we go to bed or have been asleep for a bit then he just comes into our room bc im exhausted at that point .. he’s also very attached so it’s hard to get him to fully sleep on his own. he also needs comfort to get to sleep. you got this mama.. i’ve tried stuffies, special blankets, things that smell like me, etc. i’ve heard they’ll do it when they’re ready but i think getting them to sleep in their own space with you present definitely helps ! he gets decent stretches in his bed now but never the full night yet

My 2 yo is still sleeping half night on her crib and half night with us.
But herbolder brother at her age was already sleeping on his bed on his own room.
I did the transition to a floor bed. First wee I went to sleep to his new bedroom. Then next week I went to my bedroom and he came once or twice during night, so I take him back and stayed with him until he felt asleep again. In a few days he stopped coming.
But I haven't done it with my younger girl because they're going to share rooms, and I don't have it ready yet. Also I'm enjoying her since we decided to have only two kids.
Btw I did the transition with my hotly at 19 months because I was pregnant too.

My girl is 2 now and was in the bassinet right next to our bed until 4 months old. She had to be held and rocked to sleep until she was about 1 and transfered to her crib after she was alseep. After that we just started putting her in the crib sleepy but awake and she would just go to sleep with her stuffed animals.
