I am curious is anyone else has this issue. My son has a pretty big vocabulary. He will say Dada and Nana. He will say dog and duck. But refuses to say Mama. Does anyone else have this happening?

My baby stopped saying "daddy" to the point it seemed like she was refusing to say it.
Turns out it's totally normal in the world of linguistics and growing brains. Apparently, they have the word down, so it's been committed to long term memory, but it's no longer part of short-term memory. Until the brain grows a little more and more neuron pathways are built, some words are "lost".
Is that what you're going through? Or did he never really learn it?

mine son 16m only says mama when he’s crying and wanting me to pick him up
but he says dada, hi,hot, fish and hug. his favorite words are “OK Google” but he rarely speaks it’s usually just little noises he makes to say yes or shakes head

mine doesn’t wanna say mama a lot but she does say it lol but I don’t think she knows what it means yet
