Got a phone call on Friday that I didn’t pass the GTT test. I was sent for it as my mum had GD when she was pregnant with my brother. Very frustrated as I’ve been mindful of weight gain to minimise my chances, but it seems the odds were against me.
I’m very much the type of person who always thinks about food & having planned some meal ideas for this week I already know I’m going to be unsatisfied and bored of the med diet by the end of the week.
Does anyone have any “treat” suggestions that won’t massively spike blood sugar? If I read one more recipe that involves cottage cheese I might vomit.
Picking up my testing kit tomorrow, so not currently sure what will trigger my sugars.

Honestly, you may be surprised about what does and doesn’t spike your blood sugars. Maybe Ive been incredibly lucky but I haven’t had to change my diet THAT much, so don’t panic just yet! The avoiding sweet treats are definitely what’s been the hardest for me but I have been loving these rice krispie treats & baked a banana bread the other day with less sugar which also didn’t spike my blood sugar! https://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/healthy-peanut-butter-rice-krispie-treats/
