Sons first birthday

My sons 1st birthday was a month ago , and I’ve been recently told by a friend of my soon to be ex husband that I made the party all about me and I shouldn’t have opened the presents and I should have let him open them all ..
certain people were already running late as usual , and other people were already wanting to leave . And that makes me a bad mom for trying to keep things afloat?

I think sometimes men will say anything to try and make you feel like shit when they aren’t happy, you probably organised the whole party and made sure everything was nice for your baby. A 1 year old cant open presents properly anyway they arent interested for longer for 10 seconds haha, im sure your son had the best party💗

I opened all of my son's presents. He sat next to me and played with them as they were opened. It's completely normal for the parents to open the gifts when they are this young.

I opened my daughter’s presents. She would’ve taken wayyyy too long. What you did sounds perfectly normal.

Then he should have been with the kid and had the patience to tell with the slowest present opener ever.
It wasn't all about you. You can fit into the size clothes gifted, you didn't eat smash cake, you won't be playing with the toys gifted (except with the kid).
You did a good job and did the right thing.

Elective c-section

Hi everyone! Im just really confused and would love to hear about other people's experiences.....
I had a 3b perineal tear after my first little one 2 years ago and now im 31 weeks pregnant and they've given me an option between an elective c-section vs natural birth. Im terrified about the c-section as ive never had surgery before and I've heard of people getting the "shelf" that never goes away.... The obstitrician recommends a c-section saying there's a 10-15% chance that I'll retear and 50% of people that do will have life long symptoms of incontinence but my midwife is so confident in her skills that she says that the chances I'll get another 3b tear is small, I might get a 2nd degree tear, not a 3rd degree one. Has anyone had a tear with their first and gone either way with the second that could help me out?? Thank you!!!

After birth midwife visits

Just wondering if this is a new thing across the board or not, mine and babies day 5 midwife visit I’m being told is at the hospital where as my first baby they came to the house for all checks. Any one else being sent elsewhere for this?

I’m 5 days post c-section and can barely get off the sofa so I don’t think this is a very practical appointment in regards to major abdominal surgery 🤦🏻‍♀️

Advice please🥹

My partner and I have been trying for two years and finally got our positive yesterday! Ironically after being diagnosed last month with unexplained infertility. I actually had a bit of a burn out after receiving my diagnosis and never tracked my ovulation so I don’t know exactly how far along I am. Clear blue says 1-2.

I am terrified of miscarriage and chemical pregnancies. I have been spotting for around 3 days and I’m worried sick I will lose this baby. I have PCOS too but I’m not sure if that has any bearing on anything.

Does anyone have any advice for me at all? We haven’t spoke to anyone so I can’t even talk with my friends or family about it all, it’s so early on💜

Recently found out that our last baby is a baby girl, all our other 3 children names start with (r), this time round we are struggling to find unusual but unique baby girl name with r. Anyone got any lovely ideas?🩷

Elective C-Section booking

Hello everyone!

My due date is 31st December…I’m definitely having a C-Section due to complications with my first labour.

Will my section be booked in exactly a week before (christmas eve), or will they avoid that date due to staff shortages over the holiday season?

Thankyou❤️❤️❤️
