After birth midwife visits

Just wondering if this is a new thing across the board or not, mine and babies day 5 midwife visit I’m being told is at the hospital where as my first baby they came to the house for all checks. Any one else being sent elsewhere for this?

I’m 5 days post c-section and can barely get off the sofa so I don’t think this is a very practical appointment in regards to major abdominal surgery 🤦🏻‍♀️

It depends if they’re paediatric trained as they need to do heal prick test etc. I’m under the home birth team who are trained but I don’t think all midwives are…

Mine was the same, I assumed it was going to be a home visit but ended up having to go to where I had my midwife appointments.
Wasn’t c-section for me but was also a struggle.
Just take your time getting there don’t rush it’s inconvenient but you’ve got to make sure you’re comfortable xx

My day 5 after my first was at the hospital, post emergency csection.
I found staying as mobile as possible helped my recovery, so I'll be attending hospital for day 5 after this c section too x

Baby girl arrived today💕

Baby girl decided to come today at 39 weeks and 4 days! She was due on the 18th but my water broke yesterday so I got induced. She’s healthy and beautiful 🥹

Did you do any shaving before your scheduled C-section?

Did you use a razor, wax, or leave it alone? I’ve heard mixed advice and I’m curious what others did. Thanks!

C Section.

I had an emergency c section under general with my 1st, due to failed induction.
I was hoping for VBAC (currently 33wk) however midwife seems to think he’s breech so think it’s going to be another c section and measuring on the larger side.
When did people have there c sections booked in? And how far was you?
I have a scan tomorrow so hopefully will find out more.
I’ve also got GD.
Just trying to gage when they will get things moving.

Pre scan appointment

Hi all I have my first midwife appointment in the morning, it’s not the scan but it’s the chat before that to discuss the pregnancy I think? Just here to find out exactly what happens and what I should be expecting please? 7 weeks in. Thanks!

My son's birthday is on a Tuesday this year and he'll be turning two 🥹

When and which type of celebration do you think we should do?

If we hire a venue, it would probably be a village hall with bouncy castle, face paining etc. and if we have just family, we'll probably just have our family round to our house for a little tea party, then take him on a day out or something 🎂
