C Section.

I had an emergency c section under general with my 1st, due to failed induction.
I was hoping for VBAC (currently 33wk) however midwife seems to think he’s breech so think it’s going to be another c section and measuring on the larger side.
When did people have there c sections booked in? And how far was you?
I have a scan tomorrow so hopefully will find out more.
I’ve also got GD.
Just trying to gage when they will get things moving.

We were booked in at 36 weeks for 39 weeks. Also had GD and baby was measuring at 10lbs. He was born 9lb 12ozs x

I had GD and was on insulin. I requested my date to be booked in at an obstetrician consultation (I can’t remember exactly but it was probably around 32-34 weeks. I had my section at 38 weeks.

They won’t usually book you in to have it before 39 weeks unless there is a high risk. I got given my date at about 36 weeks and cried cos they wouldn’t take me earlier than 39. I did go into labour at 38 so straight in and straight for a section

I was going for a VBAC my last pregnancy and I was so tired of being pregnant that I asked during my 38 week appointment to be scheduled and they got me in 2 days later. With a large baby and GD your OB may want to do a c section at 36weeks. You can always decline and still wait for spontaneous labor but you have to be aware that even with spontaneous labor you still may need a c section if baby is breech and large for your and baby’s safety.

I had a 36 week growth scan and after the scan I spoke to the doctor to tell them I wanted a c section because my previous was done by planned c section and I’m also wanting my tubes tied (4th baby) and she booked me in at that appointment for when I’m 39 weeks

I don’t know if I’m being a bit over sensitive/dramatic.

My baby will be having my partners surname, and his family have chosen the middle name - it’s tradition in their family for the first born son to have a particular middle name - I don’t really like the name but I agreed because it’s important to them.

I have chosen a first name I really love and my partner has agreed to it because he already has the middle and surname, but his family hate it and are trying to convince me out of it. They keep telling me it’s a horrible name and are trying to push other names on me that I don’t like. I’ve tried to explain why I like the name but they just won’t stop and accept it. I’m finding it quite rude and it’s beginning to hurt my feelings. It feels like they don’t care about me having any input in my son’s name at all.

Am I overreacting.. should I just ignore it, should I say something to them or should I consider changing the name since everyone seems to hate it so much?

Birthday outing

I want people's opinion on if this is a good idea or not

My son's birthday is next Month and I don't want to have a party. I did that the first 2 times and it was stressful so we thought we will take him to the zoo and if any of the family want to come they can meet us at the zoo. We won't be able to pay for their tickets but I don't know if that is rude.

I am having a chemical pregnancy or just early?

I found out I am pregnant a week ago (I am 4 weeks 5 days pregnant) I am only 4 days late as I found out very early. I have been testing since and my test are staying the same. Has this happened to anyone else? I don’t have much pain just on and off cramps every now and again, no bleeding. I started testing with the pink strips on Wednesday. Should I be worried? Is it normal for my test to stay the same? Other test in comments.

Funny story 😭😭😩

So I am on this weight loss journey but sometimes I get lazy or feel like I’m not using the bathroom enough because I eat a lot of protein.
So I decided to drink 2 laxatives this morning with my coffee.. all of a sudden I’m super nauseous and feel literally sick to my stomach and I’m over here almost crying thinking I’m about to die like what is wrong with me ..
Ran to the bathroom because everything hurts
And it all clicks.. I drank 2 laxatives pills and that’s why my stomach hurts
Mind you I’ve done this like 3 times already and already experience the same amnesia 🤣🤣🤣

Mucus Plug

I’m 38 weeks and I lost my mucus plug just now. Out of all three of my pregnancies, this is the only one where I have had this happen. How long usually after you lose it, does the labor process begin?

Do you celebrate the holidays with your kids?

This is a hard one for me because growing up I didn’t celebrate holidays. So now having children, I don’t know what to do. Should I celebrate them because everyone else they’re around with does it? Do I go about it based on my beliefs or do I allow them to to form their own beliefs around it and celebrate the holidays for them?

Ultimately, I just want them to be happy.
