You cant tell at 12 weeks, not with enough certainty anyway. Nost ultrasound technicians just have a preference instead of saying "it"

Ive had to have specialist scans at 14 weeks with both my pregnancies and I asked at both, he said he can tell but it's not accurate nought that he's willing to tell me.

Most technicians say he or she as not to say it.

Depending on how many days you are even if they could see the nub a nub can rise until 12+5 anyway x

I had this at my 12 week scan, the tech kept saying he. Example: "he's an active baby" turns out at my 20 week scan it is a boy. As others said they can't tell at that point with 100% certainty, it might be just how they address the baby unintentionally

In my 12 weeks scan the technician referred to my baby as "she", i didn't think to much of it bcs maybe that's how she prefers to refer to them instead of "it". 20 weeks scan informed it was a girl so maybe she just went with her gut by looking at the nub? I dunno

Mine said she loads of times, I have 2 boys! I also didn't find out till birth both times X

This happened to me at my private NIPT. She kept on saying "he" as my baby didn't want to face us and she was getting a bit impatient. Then she said she called him "he" and that she doesn't know the gender. But my baby was a boy so it took away the surprise element. I wasn't happy!
If baby was a girl then she would need to be very sure. Sometimes boys are more obvious that they are boys.

Which cake is cuter for a 2 year olds birthday? I feel like 1 is more age appropriate but 2 might be nicer?

Her theme is Two magical and it's all unicorns (she loves unicorns)

After birth midwife visits

Just wondering if this is a new thing across the board or not, mine and babies day 5 midwife visit I’m being told is at the hospital where as my first baby they came to the house for all checks. Any one else being sent elsewhere for this?

I’m 5 days post c-section and can barely get off the sofa so I don’t think this is a very practical appointment in regards to major abdominal surgery 🤦🏻‍♀️

Advice please🥹

My partner and I have been trying for two years and finally got our positive yesterday! Ironically after being diagnosed last month with unexplained infertility. I actually had a bit of a burn out after receiving my diagnosis and never tracked my ovulation so I don’t know exactly how far along I am. Clear blue says 1-2.

I am terrified of miscarriage and chemical pregnancies. I have been spotting for around 3 days and I’m worried sick I will lose this baby. I have PCOS too but I’m not sure if that has any bearing on anything.

Does anyone have any advice for me at all? We haven’t spoke to anyone so I can’t even talk with my friends or family about it all, it’s so early on💜

Elective c-section

Hi everyone! Im just really confused and would love to hear about other people's experiences.....
I had a 3b perineal tear after my first little one 2 years ago and now im 31 weeks pregnant and they've given me an option between an elective c-section vs natural birth. Im terrified about the c-section as ive never had surgery before and I've heard of people getting the "shelf" that never goes away.... The obstitrician recommends a c-section saying there's a 10-15% chance that I'll retear and 50% of people that do will have life long symptoms of incontinence but my midwife is so confident in her skills that she says that the chances I'll get another 3b tear is small, I might get a 2nd degree tear, not a 3rd degree one. Has anyone had a tear with their first and gone either way with the second that could help me out?? Thank you!!!
