Hello! When did everyone get their MATB1? My work are needing it but I don’t see my midwife for another 2 weeks and I haven’t seen her since 16 weeks !! 🥲

Call your midwife team and request it. My team had it ready for me the same day to go and collect from a local hub :)

I was told I needed to give mine to my workplace by 25 weeks, I got mine at 24 weeks. I’d defo just call up and get one! Any midwife can give you one x

I got mine at my 25w appointment, but if you're needing it sooner, ring up and ask for one

I got mine at 23 weeks as i called to ask to hand it into my work early due to holidays. Otherwise its handed out at 25/26 week appointment

I saw my midwife at 25 weeks and she gave it to me then. She said that seeing me was an "optional appointment" but I have one scheduled for 28 weeks too.

I got mine at my 25 week appointment. But if you need it before your next appointment, I would just call up and see if you can drop in to collect it

How long to wait

we were recommended to wait up to 18 months to conceive again, it feels a really prolonged time and quite a gap between babies. Can anyone that has had shorter penalties let me know any complications to consider? (Aiming for vbac if possible) Thanks

Waters leaking

I went into triage today and they did a test to confirm that my waters are leaking at 36 weeks and 3 days. I have been given antibiotics and have an induction scheduled in for 37 weeks on Sunday. I was wondering if any other mums have experienced this with their previous pregnancies or current pregnancy? The midwife told me that they will try by breaking my waters and wait for the contractions to start. I have never been induced and have been told by people it’s more painful than spontaneous labour. Any advice would be appreciated. Soo nervous ☹️

Maternity Triage

I am 24 weeks. Didn't feel any baby kicks since morning and was feeling a bit worried. I called the maternity triage in the evening and they asked me to come to the hospital . I reached at 8:45pm and got the baby heartbeat and my vitals checked within 10 mins. Everything was normal and nothing to worry. But then they asked me to wait for a doctor's review. After 2 hours of wait, they said that I can leave. The doctor's review was just reviewing my file and no further tests. I wonder if this wait time for the file review is expected?!

I’m planning my daughter’s first birthday party and I’m honestly shocked by how expensive some of the event planners and decorators are around here. Every setup I fall in love with seems to come with a very high price tag.

We’re in Gainesville, Virginia, and I’ve never worked with any local party vendors before. If anyone has recommendations for affordable decorators, balloon artists, party stylists, or event planners in the area, I would be so grateful.

I’d also love recommendations for websites where you’ve ordered beautiful birthday decorations, backdrops, custom signs, outfits, or first birthday costumes. Any budget-friendly ideas, DIY tips, or hidden gems would be amazing!

I know there are probably many moms here who are going through the same first birthday planning process right now, so hopefully this post can help others too. 😊

Loose bowels after c section

I had a c section 12 hours ago and my belly is bubbling and starting to hurt like I need a poo, is it safe to go so soon?

Cramping?

Hey guys!! I’m having cramping that’s dull along my lower belly and some sharp cramping where my right ovary is. I’m going to be checked tomorrow morning by my OB. But in the meantime has anyone had anything like this in their second trimester? Just to ease my mind 😭
