Any mums out there with phobias? How did you get over your phobias? And any tips on how to not pass them onto your little one?

Following, as I have this concern too with my phobia of dogs!

I just think I wouldn't want to pass them on so be as big and brave and strong as you would want them to be facing it

I have emetaphobia which I think is probably one of the worst phobias to have when you have a child. She's only 11 months so no sickness bugs as yet but the thought of it keeps me up at night! Dreading it! X

I have a phobia of spiders and I can't really suppress my knee jerk reaction very well. I try to do a bit of repair after I've seen one and story telling has helped a lot with that. For example, one time a spider was on our hand towel in the kitchen, when I saw it I jumped and made a weird squeal. My daughter was there so I took a big girl breath (and a big girl step back) and started to tell her how they come in when it's cold outside, our house is warm and the spider probably thought the towel was cozy but it made Mummy jump!! Oops, silly spider!! They were probably surprised too...etc.etc...that kind of thing helps as she thought it was funny.

Mine is needles but when I was pregnant they said its for baby or remember these tests are for you and we need to make sure your healthy for baby so I did it and when he had his heel prick I sat there and it killed me but I knew it was for him. Im still afraid of needles and im sick when I have them or freak out when I see them but in pregnancy I knew I had to and for his injections I will be there for him. Some people do hypnosis but I have no idea if that works x
