I don't want to contact triage incase it's nothing but for about a week now iv had constant stabbing type pains that dont go away into my right rib area, iv got constant trace of protein in my urine when I get checked , I had my BP done Monday it was fine ( I'm being monitored for potential pre eclampsia also ) what could it be?

I would contact triage asap! Things can change very quickly. It’s best to go in and check x

Honestly it’s always worth a ring! Better to be safe than sorry especially so close to birth. It may just be the way your baby is sat, I know one of my boys loves to have his feet in my ribs and it gives me such sharp pains but it’s worth getting checked given your symptoms and ongoing monitoring. Never feel like you’re wasting time! Xx

I always have trace or +1 protein, also had pre eclampsia previously. BP remains stable, had severe pain in right rib but was advised if it comes and goes it’s a good sign. I’d call up for advice, things can take a turn quickly.

Early scan

I only found out I was pregnant last Wednesday but it turns out I could be between 8-12 weeks gone 😬
I get to go for an early scan today so I’m super excited but I will also be on my own so I’m a bit nervous encase there’s anything wrong. Either way, I’m wishing myself luck 🍀

Feeling ill

I’m 4 weeks post partum, had an emergency c section. Currently pumping and supplementing with formula but I just keep feeling underlying feeling of flu like symptoms, aching bones kind of thing. It never manifests into anything but I always just feel a bit unwell. I’m wondering if it’s the expressing that’s making me feel like this !? 🤔😫 Anyone else feel like this?

How do I encourage my 7 week old to lift her head while on her front?

She’s actually really strong and can lift her head up well - she’ll do it for 2-3 minutes when she’s on me - but the second she’s on her playmat it’s like she can’t for more than a second anymore. I’ve tried using black and white cards but she just flops back down and rolls on her side to look 🤦🏼‍♀️ she’ll only lift her head if I put her on her arms, need advice for steps here

Balloon catheter/ Induction methods

I’ve been offered an induction tomorrow at 41 weeks but baby is fine. I’m considering getting the balloon catheter but I’m wondering if they will insist I do other induction methods after 24 hours if I don’t go into labour naturally?
Would they allow me to wait a few days and see if anything happens before discussing further intervention?

I don’t want to do it then end up cornered into getting more forceful methods that have painful contractions because nothing is wrong with baby.

Exhausted!

Anyone else completely knackered?! I’m 34 weeks and have a 2 year old. I am exhausted. No energy to do anything anymore. I feel so guilty for my toddler because all i do is sit on the sofa.
