Normal reaction to pregnancy announcement?

I told my friend who I used to be close with that I'm pregnant, she pulled away and said " what the fu*k " with shock that looked anywhere between surprise and disgust.
No smile.
Just stared at me until I nodded and i said yes, she then asked who knows, etc. Not once did she say congratulations.

We haven't been close in months.

Need more info. Is your friend struggling to have a baby? Currently also pregnant? Have you spoken ill of your partner to this friend? What was the tone?

Is she judging your marital status or age? Either way it’s messed up.

I am stuck on surprise and disgust because those looks are so distinctly different to me. How close were you before?

I had a coworker do this to me this pregnancy. We were becoming close-ish friends, chatting outside of work. And when I told her she said “oh you gotta be fckin kidding” and walked away. Then later was trying to act like everything was completely normal. I’m sorry your friend reacted this way

I’m 37 weeks and just so over this pregnancy now!
I know baby will come when they’re ready but I just want this baby out of me now!😂
I’m so bloody exhausted and having constant painful pelvic pains.

Announcement

When would you begin telling friends and family?
I only just found out two days ago I am pregnant, I’d be about 4 weeks at the moment?

With my son I told my mum and sister at 4 weeks, some immediate family at 6 weeks and everyone else at 11 weeks after scan. This time round I’m struggling to keep quiet after waiting so long!
