Depo shot

I know this isn’t the right group to talk about this lol it seems I would get a quick answer posting in here

I was on the depo for years before I had my girls I had no problems. Then I got it again. I lasted 9 months so I had a few but the mood swings, the headaches and aches everywhere I couldn’t cope. I was due my depo April but I chose not to carry on I had a few weeks which I can only describe as first trimester pain. Sickness, breasts hurt so tired and although that has all stopped I haven’t had a period yet.

I did one depo shot and it was the worst experience ever I highly recommend any other form of birth control . I had crazy bleeding for months to the point where they wouldn’t give me another and several emergency obgyn appts due to many issues . After it was out of my system I had no issues .

After having my third kiddo I went back on the depo but came off due to having several issue. I was bleeding for several months, headache, stomach pain. I am just now regaining a period after being off of the depot shot for 7 months.

I had the depo about 4-6 times and every time I went for it and got weighed I’d put at least a stone on. Hadn’t changed my lifestyle or diet and it has stayed with me ever since. Has been the hardest weight to shift ever and really affected my mental health for years. Went for the copper coil after I decided it wasn’t for me and had no issues. Had it removed to start our family and had it back in after baby number 2 joined us.
Far too many girls get pushed onto the depo but honestly it really f****d me up and I’m having to work 10x harder in my 30s now to undo the work it did.

The depo shots currently being sued because women have had brain tumors that have been linked to specifically taking the depo shot.....

Just find a different one. You can take the combined pill non stop by the way you do not need to take a break. I took it for a decade and only had one period a year and that was because I had spotting so thought meh might as well.
