Clingier than usual

For anyone else who is a fur mum. Has your fur baby gotten clingier than usual towards the end of your pregnancy?

I am worried that it means he will not be ok with the baby.

I don't think my dog even realised I was pregnant tbh 🤣 he's a Yorkie so not the smartest dog in town 🤣

Yeah my cat got super clingy, and then wouldn't go near me and my baby for maybe the first month 🥲

I have a Springer and she was always by my side in the final 3 weeks of pregnancy. The day my waters broke she was more clingy again. Right under my feet all morning 🙈 she’s now not too bothered by baby girl, unless she’s crying. Then shes the best big sister

Haha I wish they really got along, but I knew from him being given up by his previous owner that he might not get on with a baby. However now he's 15 and is a little more chilled.

He will come near my baby girl (8 months) but is very cautious of her as she's very grabby so we try to encourage her to be gentle but she doesn't understand.

Luckily he's not taken a swipe at her as he isn't afraid to use his claws. But she has grabbed clumps of his fluff (he's a very fluffy boy)

We also close her door when it's nighttime or she's taking naps to make sure he doesn't go in her room.

I was really cautious when my little girl was born though as I was afraid he might jump in her crib

Normal reaction to pregnancy announcement?

I told my friend who I used to be close with that I'm pregnant, she pulled away and said " what the fu*k " with shock that looked anywhere between surprise and disgust.
No smile.
Just stared at me until I nodded and i said yes, she then asked who knows, etc. Not once did she say congratulations.

We haven't been close in months.

So over ittttt

I’m 37 weeks and just so over this pregnancy now!
I know baby will come when they’re ready but I just want this baby out of me now!😂
I’m so bloody exhausted and having constant painful pelvic pains.

Any way to help bring on labour soon?
I’ve been collecting colostrum, eating dates, walking everything.

Last baby 👶🏼

I’ve just had my second, and last baby, 2 weeks ago. I know I’m done at two, and I’ve been lucky enough to have a girl, then a boy, but does anyone else in the same situation feel sad that they’re never going to experience pregnancy, and labour again? Labour with my son was fasttt and so intense with crazy contractions but I’d do it again in a heartbeat for my perfect boy.

I don’t know what I’m getting out of writing this post but just felt I needed to write it somewhere! It’s the end of an era and I’m content with my two children, but never experiencing pregnancy, kicks, scans, or having a newborn baby placed on your chest, or having that first night in hospital just you and your baby again makes me feel a little sad too!

Announcement

When would you begin telling friends and family?
I only just found out two days ago I am pregnant, I’d be about 4 weeks at the moment?

With my son I told my mum and sister at 4 weeks, some immediate family at 6 weeks and everyone else at 11 weeks after scan. This time round I’m struggling to keep quiet after waiting so long!
