- talk to your Dr's about any anxieties you might be having. I found them very reassuring.
- don't feel like you have to have your baby on your chest straight after. They did for me and I had to ask them to move him because it was too uncomfortable and overwhelming.
- have a sick bucket ready for when the meds wear off. I projectiled for about 5 mins then was fine.
- enjoy lots of little bites and sips of toast and water aftet
- don't overdo it when you're healing. Rest for longer than you think you need to.
- press a sanitary pad against the scar to keep it dry as it heals, especially if you have an apron belly.
- when you poop after, relax and breathe out like you're blowing out candles on your toes. Don't push.

-Peppermint tea and chewing gums help with the gas pains
-Move as much as you can walking helps you from getting stiff but dont over do it youll feel it the next day
- keep up with the painkillers dont miss a dose because you think youll be okaii the pain will hit you as they wear off
- Sleep sitting up with loads of pillows propping you up

Say yes to the sepisitory. Its a strong antionflamitory they put up your bum straight after surgery you dont feel it.
I needed buscipan to help with my gut pain. OMG the wind build up in my intenstine was horrific! Was weird farting without pushing a fart out which only happened after I took the buscipan (given while I was in hospital).
Take what ever you need pain wise. I had ibprofine, paracetamol, diahydracodine and oramorph. Didnt get rid of the pain, made it semi bareable (they did agrovate my dodgy rib during surgery so my ribs hurt alongside my incision)
