Nursery Naps

My daughter will start nursery in September, and I was sort of shocked to learn that they don’t do scheduled nap times for 2+ year olds, this is the third nursery I checked out in my area, all with this same policy. They said “If they get tired they can lay down on a mattress in the corner”.
Is this common practice? Where I came from, every single nursery does scheduled nap times/quiet times. Even NHS recommends toddlers to have naps until they turn 3. I appreciate your help on this…

That is a different policy than what I am used to. Ours still does naptime for our 4 yo. Which makes bedtime a nightmare.

I’ve worked in childcare for 15 years & never heard or worked in a Nursery where this is the rule. Naps have always been a scheduled thing until pre school x

Split nights

I’m literally at breaking point I don’t know what else to do. My 13 month old has never been a good sleeper. But for the last 4 weeks has been up for 2 hours in the middle of the night with a couple more wakes before that. We’ve sleep trained him to fall asleep on his own, we’ve capped his naps, extended/lowered his wake windows and I don’t know what else we can try. I understand they go through regressions/split nights but surely 4 weeks is not it. I’m sat in bed crying, absolutely exhausted and feel like the worst mum in the world as he needs his sleep. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through the same or has any advice?

Doing it wrong 😴🤣

I just realised I’ve been using the Milton tablets wrong after seeing another post 🤣 I’ve been soaking the mam bottles and parts in soapy water before a wash and rinsing then soaking it in the Milton water solution. I’d then rinse once more then put them in the microwave to sterilise. Hadn’t realised the tablet is a steriliser all these months 🤣 My LO is 8 months now 🤣

Signed a clearly exhausted, lost a few brain cells mum 🤣🤣

Husband concerned with co sleeping

Been co sleeping with our daughter for a good few months now. My husband recently shared that he’s not comfortable with it as accidents can happen. He’s afraid we’ll roll over on her or she’ll get stuck under a blanket or pillow.
My husband and I are both bigger people, with me being 5’8 and him 5’11.
I understand his fear because accidents do happen, but I don’t see what’s wrong with co sleeping.
If we can find a safe compromise for her to co sleep with us.
I’m able to get my baby to sleep in her crib, which is bedside, for around 2 hours before she wakes up looking for me.
I’m just feeling a bit stuck.

Baby carriers?

I have a 7 month baby, and she is pretty heavy to hold now when I need to get things done. I’ve been on a search for baby carriers and I found two, the wildbird carrier or the tush baby with the snug. Need some opinions on which is better, or recommendations!
