Is it normal?

My 2-year-old boy likes to scratch our faces when he’s upset, such as when we pick him up from an activity he’s enjoying. Is this normal?

Nap time

Where are you all putting your little ones to sleep? Baby is 4 months old and currently naps in his Moses basket in the living room with the TV on and me coming in and out etc. should I be putting him in his crib? I read somewhere that daytime naps should be light and noisy (to an extent) so they can differentiate, but thinking I should try him upstairs in our bedroom?

Quitting pumping or breastfeeding mastitis

Hey guys
Has anyone stopped breastfeeding or exclusively pumping after a bout of mastitis?

I exclusively pump (which I hate and makes me miserable), however I experienced mastitis as of two days ago. Horrendous pain in my breast, hard as a brick.

I’ve got terrible mum guilt for wanting to wean off pumping now and switch to formula so this doesn’t happen again.

I’m a healthcare professional and repeated courses of antibiotics is something that terrifies me… I’d rather give up breast milk than have mastitis and antibiotics again 😢

Hate breastfeeding?

Hi, I'm 21y single mom 2 months pp and currently having a hard time nursing my LO.

Not because he can't latch, low milk supply, nor inverted nips. I just don't like the feeling of it. He latches perfectly and I am an enougher but I get the DMER everytime i feel the first let down.

Am I a bad mom if I want him to switch to formula even though it's been just two months? Most of the people around me say it's selfish to stop breastfeeding for my own good. But how can I function well and be a good mom if breastfeeding is so depressing?

Head smacking

My 13 month old has started smacking himself on the head. It’s usually when he’s frustrated but he’s never done it before. Anyone else’s doing this and any possible idea why?!

Tongue tie

My baby is 4.5 weeks today, we had his tongue tie cut yesterday and I find it so frustrating the way they do things with the nhs. I asked about aftercare and they just brushed it off and said you do nothing, and very much underplayed it. My baby has been crying on and off all night and day and is so unsettled. Thankfully I’ve found some info online but then some of that seems conflicting I.e lots of info on exercises and sweeping to stop it from reattaching. They said this is not necessary. They could at least give you a heads up they are going to be in pain with it and info on the healing process, I.e what to expect as the wound heals so you know what to look out for. I left under the impression he would be unaffected.
