sleep or lack of 😴

just looking to see if this is normal and i haven’t got a poor sleeper.

My 7 week old goes down on a evening anywhere between 8-9pm, first wake around 1-1:30am then 3am then 5am and after that will only go back down if it’s a contact nap.

I dunno if it’s a lucky streak but other new mums i’ve spoke to their LOs the same age are sleeping throughout the night like 8-6am no wake ups. All breastfed although they are pumping and giving in bottles as well.

Is there anything i should be adding into a routine to help with sleep, we do bath and wind down in a darken room with a small red light and white noise i’m EBF and i feel like warming bottles would be harder work but would that help with sleep? or is this just normal for a new baby still 😴

all babies are different but it’s hard not to compare when your so sleep deprived

I’ll be really honest, this sounds like a dream sleeper 🤣. My eldest woke every hour until he was around 3/4 months old and my now 6 week old is completely different. They’re so variable with sleep baby to baby but also just because they sleep like this now doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way! I don’t mean that to scare you or anything but sleep is so variable with babies and toddlers they change all the time as they go through different growth and development.

Am I overreacting?

I am a part of a mom group that it's called stay at home moms unfiltered. I posted about how I was tired of my baby yelling at me and they assumed it was me saying I'm tired of my baby. If I was why is that wrong? Being tired of them and loving them are two different things. I wouldn't normally share that but this is a supposedly unfiltered group....I don't get it.

How do you know when your marriage is over?

I hate to say ask this, only been married 4 years but feeling lately like I don’t even know my partner anymore

He clearly isn’t investing time or care into our marriage

When I cry and express my feelings he shows no sympathy or love, never apologies for hurting me

He’s always defending himself and I feel alone

I truly don’t know what to do. I’m 19 weeks pregnant have a 2.5 year old

I’m scared and don’t want this for my life

Noisy Sleepers 🫩

Any fellow FTMs struggling to sleep because their baby is SO noisy?

My little one grunts, squirms, squeaks, and makes all sorts of sounds all night long if he is in his next to me. It’s keeping me awake! I will just be settling down and he will make a loud grunt and I’m wide awake again, the only way I’m getting sleep is if he sleeps on my chest because then he doesn’t make a sound!

How do you manage to sleep through the newborn noises? Any tips or reassurance appreciated! 💕

Unwanted Cosleeping

Tell me if I’m justified in being mad about this.

I have always said I will never cosleep. My only reason is because I don’t like being touched while I sleep. I just don’t sleep well at all and wake up all night.

We have a 1 year old and a 2 year old that share a bedroom. I put my 1 year old down first and then my husband puts our 2 year old down. Well he started putting her down in our bed with him and he falls asleep and doesn’t transfer her. I don’t want to then transfer her in fear that she wakes up and then I have to stay up with her until she goes back to sleep.

She was also the best sleeper ever. I would put her down in her crib and say goodnight and she would go to sleep. My husband ruined it and would stand there and talk to her and rub her back so she no longer puts herself to sleep.

She also only sleeps on my side of the bed and she will pee. So now 3 times in the past month I have woken up in a puddle of pee.

Im furious. She shouldn’t be in our bed and he makes it very clear that he doesn’t care and if im unhappy about it then i should put her to bed. I know some will say thats the obvious answer but I literally do everything else when it comes to my kids. So I want him to help with bedtime. It’s not too much to ask.

Would you be upset?

Bedtime

Hi all,
My 6 month old goes down between 7/7:30pm and then wakes at around 5am for a feed and has a further 30/40 minute sleep before being up for the day but I’m just wondering what time is bedtime for your little ones? 7pm works well for us but a lot of people have said it’s too early etc for her age so wondering if I should push this to 8pm or even 9pm 🤔

Thank you 🩷
