Bowel movements - 5 days after c section

I have no strength in my belly to push out any wind or to push for a poo 5 days after a c section. Did anyone else ever have this?

I did go day 3, but it was loose as i took laxatives and it happened on its own, I couldn’t push or stop it just happened.

I tried talking to midwives today about it as I can feel that I need to go, or pass wind but genuinely can’t as I just can’t push it out, it’s like numb. They didn’t do anything though but I’m so worried as I just want to have normal feeling. I’ve never heard of this before?!

I could only go for a week or so if I took the laxatives. They actually sent me home with some to help

No
But at the moment I’m taking poo medication to help me go to toilet without it I can be constipated for weeks. But since I started taking it
I use the toilet easy now not daily but weekly
And I’m just 24weeks pregnant
Planning on having a c-section tho so I’m trying to get all information as possible

Hiya so I had my first poo 6 days post c-section and it was actually quite painful for me. I was taking stool softener but was so constipated up until then and in pain with gas. Once I had a poo my gas pains and stomach felt much better. I understand fully about not having much control of down there, everything kind of feels separated and numb. I am now 5 weeks postpartum and it does slowly come back. I would recommend taking stool softener or laxatives again until you fully regain back your control and sensation down there as constipation will only make you more uncomfortable. I wouldn’t worry yourself as it does come back slowly but you just have to be patient with yourself. Hope this helps x

Men sneezing

This has happened a few times now... Put baby down, husband does a huge sneeze, back at square 1. He says he can't help it, but most of us women aren't sneezing like bloody elephants. Do you think people are able to control the volume of their sneezing? Vote below!

July babies

These July babies don’t hang around. My little dude arrived 2 weeks before his due date.

Bleeding after sex TMI pic

I popped a post up last night about bleeding after sex (31+4). As I was happy with movements and it was late - I opted to stay at home overnight. I’ve not had any further bleeding - do I still need to call triage this morning?

I’ve had episodes of light pink spotting previously and been into triage but no sources have been found.

Any June mamas due any day now? Feel free to message me if you're in a similar boat so we can be friends! 🤰💛

I know it's so common to go past your due date, but the waiting is making me so uneasy!

Last night I had a couple of really sharp pains, but they only happened twice and then disappeared. I've also been going to the loo loads, and the third time I genuinely felt like I wasn't going to make it in time, like there was so much pressure and everything was going to fall out! 😅 Once I relieved myself, I actually felt much better.

Has anyone else had anything similar this close to labour? Or just feeling really unsettled and like something is happening but not quite happening? Would love to hear your experiences!

Any other babies quieter?

It’s super hot and I’m trying to stay hydrated. I’ve felt baby move today but not as much as normal. Anyone else?
