Sleep help

Could I ask how do you get your LO down for a nap or for bed?

My first was really difficult having to rock/ shush for every nap/sleep til around 4 months where my second is better she still isn’t 100% settled.

At the minute we are using a dummy (only last few days) which is really helping for sleep, but yesterday she had a wake window for 4 hours as nothing would work and then it took an hour to settle her as she was obvs over tired.

Just feel like we’re doing something wrong as some friends say they’d just put their LO down and they’d drop off 🫠

You’re doing everything right, don’t compare yourself to others. Babies are different, and in my books having to rock and shush is normal, especially in newborn stages. In my case my little one will not go to sleep if it’s me trying to get her to sleep as she smells the milk and gets distracted. My husband rocks her a few minutes and she’s out.

At what age do you think having sex in the same room as your awake child becomes sexual abuse?

The other post got me thinking. At some point this is just straight sexual abuse. But at what age would you classify it as

Scared about nursery

Almost 1yo starts settling into nursery this week. She’s mostly contact naps and breastfeeds a few times during the day.

I’m scared she’ll struggle to sleep, or won’t eat much and be hungry, or will feel abandoned. I feel horrible. I spent most of my mat leave struggling and now that it’s time for it to end, I feel so sad about leaving her.

Any advice?

Getting a haircut when exclusively breastfeeding

So I'm a new Mum and I am DESPERATE for a haircut. I was meant to get one before my baby was born but baby decided to make an early appearance. My hair is now 2 months overdue for a cut and it really shows 😭 I've been struggling with my appearance since having a baby and I feel anxious about going out. Does anyone have any tips on how to handle a hair appointment with a baby and breastfeeding?

Breastfeeding

I’m currently 6 weeks and 4 days postpartum with my second. I am currently EBF which in term of milk supply and latch is going well. I struggled a lot with my first and was excited to BF my second. I am now 6 weeks in an feel like I’m not enjoying it as much as I should/thought to the point I want to stop/combi feed. However even when I think about giving her a bottle i feel super guilty and feel like I should BF instead. I also get very paranoid as to whether she is getting enough milk and constantly checking the heaviness of her nappies etc. My head is a little bit of a mess about whether to continue as it’s going better then with my first but also not enjoying it but struggling to even think about giving it up HELP. Like I want to stop but don’t want to stop
