Baby outgrowing moses basket.

My baby is very long and is nearly outgrown his moses basket where he naps in the day, where is everyone putting baby for naps in the day once they outgrow the basket? I was thinking the cot but I dont want to have to sit in the room while he naps..

I’m no help, i’m just jumping in the comments so i can come back when people give advice 🤣 my baby is 7 weeks and is starting to hang his leg over the side of the moses basket when asleep so atm downstairs naps are mostly held or i dare blink when he’s in the basket

Why would you have to sit in the room? If baby will take naps in there that’s great?

You're right, safe sleep guidelines say baby needs to have all sleep in the same room as you until 6 months.

We used a travel cot in the living room for day time. Or contact naps. Or in the carrier/sling

(Popping in here as this post came up on my feed) September 2025 mum here 👋

Try using the pram bassinet! It big enough and easy to transport.

Cot

I've been putting my enormous seven week old on the floor on the mat we use for tummy time... Will need to come up with something else when she's rolling more but it works for now!

we bought a travel cot with changing table topper for the lounge. I did it with my first and so glad I did it this time around too! it has the higher bassinet type insert too. And once we dont need it in the lounge anymore it will be our travel cot for staying away from home
was about £60 but honestly so worth it

Sleep regression?

Baby has started screaming at night everytime I put him down in his next to me and won’t stop unless I’m cuddling him. Is this the sleep regression? Anyone else experiencing it?

Someone just kissed my baby’s face

My FIL just kissed my baby’s face. It’s the 4th time he’s seen my baby, so I didn’t think to list out all the rules again. We got him to stop, but I’m freaking out. I felt like I was having a panic attack ( I feel better now but I’m still really worried about my baby). I contacted my pediatricians office, but they are closed so I won’t hear back until tomorrow. My husband told me that I’m over reacting … I don’t know if anyone has had this happen to them? Am I overreacting?

Sleep help

Could I ask how do you get your LO down for a nap or for bed?

My first was really difficult having to rock/ shush for every nap/sleep til around 4 months where my second is better she still isn’t 100% settled.

At the minute we are using a dummy (only last few days) which is really helping for sleep, but yesterday she had a wake window for 4 hours as nothing would work and then it took an hour to settle her as she was obvs over tired.

Just feel like we’re doing something wrong as some friends say they’d just put their LO down and they’d drop off 🫠

Help- desperate!

Long story short, I am 5 days pp and have been readmitted into hospital due to baby being dehydrated and losing too much weight because she's not feeding/latching well. We have a feeding plan in place, I started pumping lots today and things are getting marginally better.
HOWEVER, due to having to pump and express a lot, I am now having insane uterine contractions (i.e. unbearable agony, the whole ward heard me screaming in pain). I need to keep feeding my baby breast milk but I cannot go through this pain anymore.
I am on morphine, codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen and it's still agony.
I can supplement with formula and my partner has said he will do the next feed solely with formula so I can get some rest, but in the long run, she needs to get on the boob or take expressed milk as much as poss over the coming days if we want to breastfeed (and we do).

How can I manage this pain?
Help plz I'm desperate!

Struggling with heat

I live in a flat and struggling to keep it cool. I have all windows and curtains shut with fans and it does help a little. But my 9 week old girl just wants to be held 24/7 and when I try and put her down due to her sweating and heat rush she wakes back up again. I try and keep her in a nappy but she doesn’t like that for too long. So I just put a vest on but again only last for 10 mins. So have to but her in something else like a jump suit or at night a onesie. Anyone else struggling or is my little girl just weird as my little boy wasn’t as bad.
