Should I be worried about my baby?

My little one slept 7.30-5 last night. - usually when he wakes up his nappy is pretty full of urine. When he woke up it wasn’t full at all, there was some but not a lot.
With this heat I’m trying to keep him hydrated obviously but am concerned that he is dehydrated anyways? If he was dehydrated would there be no wee at all? Or am I overthinking this?
TIA, one worried mumma

Nhs says 6 wet nappies in 24 hour period

My baby has had a handful of completely dry nappies overnight before. Wouldn’t worry too much about it as a one off, but keep an eye on it throughout the day and make sure he is actually weeing

So what I'm doing because my baby was lethargic in the first heat wave is giving breast milk little and often. So more regular feeds and timing how long each feed is and how many wet nappies are from midnight to the next night.

Trust your gut instinct

I agree with Annie. Just trust your gut and keep feeding throughout the day and see how your little one reacts and spends the day. You can always try to squeeze a few small feeds just in case

My baby has this occasionally. I would monitor it over the next 12 hours and if output is a lot less than usual I would get it seen to, but I wouldn’t worry if it returns to normal in the day

I've woken up to the same. My little one sleeps through the night and has for a while. Normally in the morning his nappy is wet an heavy but this morning it was no where near as heavy as normal. But I can see he is fine, he's not over hot, he's taken his bottle like normal and hes smiling away. But I will keep an eye on the rest of his nappies this morning just incase. You know your baby if they've start acting differently trust your gut.
