Medically speaking you’re already nearly 2 weeks pregnant before you even ovulate because it classes as from the first day of your last period (essentially as the egg starts to prep)

ChatGPT can explain it better. My understanding is because lots of people don’t know exactly when they conceived so it’s based off the first day of your last period. So gestational age is how doctors count the weeks of pregnancy, whereas embryonic/fetal age is the actual age since conception.
