Anyone else pretty laid back on what you allow your kids to do?
Like my daughter is very active and loves to get into things and make messes and climb and all that! And I simply just cannot stop her from doing everything all day. If she makes a mess I let her. I’ll just have to clean it up later. Using something the wrong way but having fun? Whatever. Climbing on my back? Sure. I’m apart of a small mom group near by and they were criticizing a mom cause she let her daughter stand on a chair.. and I find the moms I hang out with are constantly stoping their kids from stuff I don’t see a big deal in. Constantly worried about germs and falling. Obviously everything has limits and I’m not saying I let her run wild I definitely stop her and correct her but if it’s safe and she’s happy and not hurting anyone. Idc.

I’m somewhere in the middle lol
Really okay with climbing, falling & letting him be a child,
not always okay with a mess happening, but it really depends on what type of mess.
Normal mess of all the toys? Playing in dirt or picking up rocks & sticks? totally cool, dumping out cups that are on the counter? not cool. But it’s more so a trauma response of how my own mom reacted about things. (Also if I had hardwood or anything expect carpet I wouldn’t care as much about spills lol)

three kids in and i feel like i am laid back in some sense because I have a good guage on whats safe and whats not. But also my kids arent as wild as i thought they are lol
