He seems to like the formula more then drinking from me , i was hoping to continue up until a year. Im about 4 month pp. Is there anything i can do to help encourage.
He will drink a bottle that has mommys milk. But im having a hard time keeping up with pumping how much he needs. And pumping in general. I have a 3 year old and my husband who is a teacher and so everyone is home for the summer . So our "sheduale " i use that term loosely is all messed up. Any tips , and suggestions?

it's maybe because drinking from a bottle is easier and from the breast makes them work

hey im in the exact same boat and also 4months pp so I know it feels abit sucky. I've had to change my perspective abit to think as long as buba is eating and gaining weight it's ok, I've used oats and fenegreek to up my out put and trying to hydrate helps, as for pumping, pump when you can and maybe get a wearable pump where you can pump while giving him a bottle. (I have the momcozy M9 but the newest model may have better design as the outlet hole is at the top so less leakage). Also prepare two bottles one with breast milk and one with formula after he finishes the one with breast milk you can give him formula, you can also mix the two provided it's the same temperature. hope that helps x

Lol sounds like little man prefers to chug instead of sip (if you know what i mean) its normal and honestly the only way to keep going is to just cut back on the bottle feeds and in about a month he can start some solids (if thats the route you'd go) like if you make mash potatoes or veggies . He just got a good appetite .

I was told by the nurse that sometimes when there are really hungry they are too impatient to work for the milk with the boob and a bottle the milk is instant. Once
I heard that it changed my perception and I’m not as sad. Because he’ll still suckle from me.
