Newborns eye
My boy is 2 weeks today and has had this gunky, swollen eye for about 10 days. We bathe it constantly but it seems to be more red and swollen the past 4.
Midwife’s are aware and said to contact a GP, but others have said to continue to bathe it. Should I just contact GP?

I would always contact the GP just to be safe x
It looks like conjunctivitis. I’d say definitely contact your GP cause baby is less than a month old plus it has lasted for 10 days. Sometimes conjunctivitis is infectious so in that case you’ll need medicated drops
Could be a blocked tear duct or conjunctivitis. My nearly 7 month old had a gunky eye when she was born, it was a blocked tear duct. We just wiped it with cooled boiled water and some cotton wool and it cleared up on it's own
