Induction

I’m very conflicted rn. I’m 34 weeks and My midwife just told me they may want to induce me in 5 weeks. I have always wanted a natural birth with minimal medical intervention as possible. My pregnancy has been good. I got diagnosed with GD and that’s why they are slightly worried with it because of blood pressure and preeclampsia. My blood pressure has been perfect since I got pregnant and they were worried about me getting preeclampsia because it’s my first pregnancy. But I feel as if I know my body. I know that sounds stupid but I don’t feel as either will be an issue in the next 5 weeks. I really don’t want to get induced and I’m just very nervous that I might have to. Any advice??

I’m being induced at 38 weeks and 4 days, 8/4. My first baby came on her own at 38+5. I have GD and it’s common for 39 weeks to be induced. I also have some other risk factors. You don’t have to agree to an induction, they can’t force you to show up. But I urge you to take their concerns into consideration. The only goal should be a healthy baby and mom ❤️

Baby Iris (due 13th July)

My 2nd baby. Found out late that i had gestational diabetes. Had it in first pregnancy but passed twice this time. At 36 weeks they said I was measuring big and needed a growth scan. Then baby was estimated to be 97th percentile. Had another test and found the gestational diabetes was back! You can imagine my relief when I went into spontaneous labour at 37+2. Woke up to my waters breaking at 12:50am. Contractions started about 1 hour later. Then Iris was born at 3:20am weighing 8lb 7oz. Just 2.5 hours from waters breaking! I have quick labours as my son's was 4 hours.
She's a very good, chill newborn! After having a velcro newborn first time, I'm enjoying this time round more!
Good luck to everyone yet to give birth. You've got this💪

Early scan

Heyy all

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if an early scan is worth it? Thinking about booking one for 8 weeks but £80 to see what might just be a blob doesn’t seem worth it?!

When did everyone get their nhs scans ? Were u closer to 12 or 14 weeks?

Advice wanted!

Hi! I'm 25weeks! I just need some advice if possible, So I was out walking yesterday, I won't lie I felt like I was sitting more then I was actually walking, I kept feeling like the baby was sitting very low on my stomach and it was discomforting, is this even normal? Or does anyone know how to release the tension?

Anyone got any advice please ?
I’ve never let my boys go near my breasts and I don’t touch them but I’m still leaking!! They just don’t seem to want to dry up? I do go a day or two of nothing then suddenly they’re pouring again (one more than another) anyone got any magic fix?

Morning ladies,

Times ticking, I'm 40+2 I really don't want to get induced but I know pregnancy gets dangerous the more time goes on.

What's your thoughts on induction??
