Crying and screaming

Hello!
My 5 month old will suddenly start screaming out of no where, no way to console him, he just cries and screams like he’s in pain. He is not normally much of a crier but lately he screams too much. He won’t take the breast and I don’t know how to stop it. Eventually he takes it and calms down but it is worrying.
Anyone experienced this?

My little girl did something similar around that age. Sometimes it was trapped wind, sometimes she was overtired, and sometimes she just seemed completely overwhelmed and would suddenly scream like she was in pain. She’d often refuse the breast until she’d calmed down, then latch and settle.
I’d definitely get him checked over if it’s happening regularly, just to rule out things like an ear infection, reflux, constipation, or anything else causing pain. I’d also give him a quick head-to-toe check when it happens, especially fingers, toes and his penis, to make sure there’s no hair tourniquet, as they can be surprisingly painful and easy to miss.
Hopefully it’s just a phase, but if it’s persistent or he’s inconsolable for long periods, it’s worth getting him assessed. ❤️

Could be teething, and sometimes when teething they refuse boob because the sucking irritates their sore gums. See if you can see swollen gums and try a frozen pacifier, etc. When teething my boy can be fine for hours and then suddenly scream, then be fine again

Feeling like a broken woman.

My daughter will be 6 months old in a few days time, and I feel like I am just drowning in sleep deprivation and I am miserable.

First off she was a very grumpy baby from 5 weeks old due to undiagnosed CMPA and severe reflux which finally got sorted about 2.5 months ago. And her sleep some what improved. Then we hit the 4 month sleep regression and she became grumpy and fussy all over again with nights being so different to the last and unpredictable.

Now I’m not sure what’s going on, but she literally goes down at 7pm and then will wake up babbling, grabbing feet for anything from 1-3hrs from 1am and once I manage to get her to sleep she wakes again and I am just tired as hell. She has also started rolling from back to tummy but can’t get from tummy to back and she gets very frustrated but carries on doing it every 3 minutes so I’m constantly having to mover her back over for her to do it again. Her day time naps are all over the place, yesterday she napped quite a lot but she’s also not been herself as she has a gunky eye (which I am seeing the GP today for)

I feel like it’s just one thing after another and nothing is ever consistent (she’s my second child - my first was so easy)

Please any advice on what I can do to tweak what is happening or if this is completely normal for 6 months. Or is my baby just going to be one of them babies 🫣☹️🥲

Day routine

Hi all, what does everyone’s day look like? I feel I’m not doing enough play etc with my LO. I read the sleepy cues but I just don’t know what else to do in the wake windows. (8 weeks old)

My 9 month old keeps waking up 4/5am

My just turned 9 month old goes to sleep at 7.30pm and without fail everyday keeps waking up between 4-5am. We have been using the Tommee tippee black out blinds so surely it’s not the sunrise waking him up. I’m baffled as to what the reason could be??

** just to update what I wrote. He wakes up around 4/5am and then we bring him into our room and he goes back to sleep until 8am??

Refusing feeds/drinking less

My little one is nearly 16 weeks old, for the past nearly 3 weeks she has gone from drinking 7oz bottles to now only roughly 4oz sometimes less/more but never more than 6oz. She is soooo fussy when feeding, pushing the bottle out her mouth, trying to look around everywhere & then she cry’s because she wants it. Some feeds are now taking 25+ minutes because she’s just messing around so much. We have tried a bigger teat & she instantly choked as the flow was too fast for her. We’ve tried walking around feeding her, feeding her in a different room, nothing seems to make a difference.

Her naps have also become non existent, 20-30minutes a time if we’re lucky!
Could this be the 4 month regression?

Any advice welcome !!! I feel I’m throwing more milk down the sink than she’s drinking🥲 she’s still gaining weight well & remains following her percentile from birth, plenty went nappies & otherwise still her very happy self!
Thank you🫶🏼
