Hey!
I’m having my baby via elective c section at Birmingham women’s hospital due to medical reasons.
I know it might sound a silly question but it just occurred to me what happens with my bags why I’m in theatre?
Do they go somewhere as I’ve seen online that at the women’s you don’t go to a ward before the c section you go to a waiting lounge.
Thanks :) x

I had mine at heartlands so may differ…I was a category 3 so urgent but not emergency, we were called at 10am to go in , went to triage, had my bloods and was put in the monitor, then we walked to the labour ward theatre and my partner just carried my bags the whole time until we were on the ward after x x

I had mine there in 2023. I waited in this nice little lounge then we were taken to a ‘recovery bay’, your bags stay there when you go into theatre and you go back into that bay when you come out. Then you go to a ward after a while once they’re happy with everything.
