Eek, earlier than I was expecting!

Turns out my little one was too eager to meet the world. Original due date of 19th July, but he decided to come on 2nd July instead! Totally different experience to my first, with no real interventions required. I has strep B and was induced part way through, but somehow I was all done and dusted in 14 hours from my waters breaking! I had been booked in for an ECV on 3rd July as baby was breach at my growth scans, but the little treasure had turned on his own! Such relief when they scanned me on the delivery suite. He weighed only 6lbs 2oz, and feels so tiny. Glad to be home after only one night on the ward.
Hope everyone else's deliveries go the way they hope for the rest of these July babies!

Husband rant

I know I shouldn’t complain about this but it really gets on my nerves. On the very few occasions my husband has the baby alone he acts as though it’s so easy!
Yes, it is easy to when its not all day, but every day! Come back to me when you have done 5 days on run 😡

Do you do anything about a gut feeling?

So I'm pregnant with baby 2 and I can't explain why but I have a feeling that something isn't right. I had 2 scans early on due to sudden back problems and then the normal 12 week scan and everything was fine. Blood tests were also fine. My tummy sometimes tightens a bit which I don't remember it doing this early before, but otherwise there's no symptoms to really explain my feeling. I'm now 15 weeks so have a while until my next scan or midwife appointment. Would you contact the midwife despite it probably being paranoia or just wait until your next scan? I was so chilled with the 1st pregnancy I'm not sure why I feel like this now. Although the toddler is all elbows and knees and not the most delicate child so that does worry me too!

Leni 🎀🇬🇧🇩🇪

We’re a British/ German family expecting a little girl in November.

What are people’s opinions on Leni for a name? (Would be pronounced Lee-ni in German.)

Mucus plus

So two weeks ago I started to loose small bits of my mucus plug, this morning there was a lot and it was a brown colour. Im currently 34 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Triage weren’t concerned however Im worried it means baby is on their way

When did you first see a bump?

This is more so for us girls with a bit of a belly already😅 I’m a UK size 14-16 and just over 8 weeks pregnant. I’m not expecting to see a bump soon but I’m curious when Mums started to see a bump at all?
