2 under 2!
Hello! I have an 11 month old baby, and I’ve just found out I am pregnant again! I’ve wanted another close in age, but now it’s happened I am really freaking out! Initially I was super excited, and then the reality set in, and I’ve been crying because I also feel guilty on my 11 month old? I am fully prepared, and I know it’s going to be hard work but it’s just so scaryyyy!
Please can anyone who’s been in the same position as me give me some reassurance, and some tips! I really need it right now, my emotions are all over the place!🥹

Congratulations! I always wanted two close together and there is 17 months between my two.
Everyone's experience is different but I honestly found going from 1 to 2 so much easier than 0 to 1. I did feel guilty at times as well but my best advice would be to get a sling for your baby. That way you can still be hands on with your toddler whilst having that close contact time with baby.
My two are 20 months and 3 now and its a lot more hands on now theyre both toddlers but they have an amazing bond so I have no regrets about the close age gap xx
From both my experience and what child development experts recommend, try to protect some one-on-one time with your firstborn before and after the baby arrives. Your older child is about to go from having all of your attention to sharing it, and that can be a huge adjustment.
I have two under two myself (my oldest just turned 2 and my youngest is 11 months), and honestly, it’s a whole new level. You’re busy all the time! Even just 10–15 minutes of uninterrupted time with your older child each day can really help them feel secure and included.
