Hi my little girl is nearly 6 months now and still wakes up in the night to feed (I’m EBF), I’m not sure if it’s sometimes for comfort as well as being hungry. I’m trying to feed her as much as I can in the day to make sure she’s full before bed but still wakes at least 3/4 times. I am starting to wean her as well with just purées at the minute but just feel a bit lost 😞

She is only 6 months! You want her to wake up! It’s a self defense mechanism against Sid’s if nothing else. Unless she weans naturally you shouldn’t be trying to encourage it before 18 months! (Icr where I read that nhs or who idk) my 20 month old still doesn’t sleep through, under 4 night wakes are developmentally normal! It doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong or somethings wrong with her it’s exactly how it’s supposed to be

As above, this is completely normal for children well into toddlerhood.

I'm in the same boat, as much as it'd be nice to have an evening just chilled on the sofa I now just take it as extra cuddles. albeit slightly annoying when I've just got into a show, or made a cup of tea and he stirs 😅
he stirs for both an extra feed and comfort - nowadays I just put him in bed with me once I'm upstairs and he wakes again. He sleeps better next to me, and can just latch on when he wants rather than us both fully waking up.
they're learning so many new things at this age that sleep does get affected easily unfortunately!

My son woke 1-2 hourly until 25 months. So so normal x
