Anyone else booked in for a glucose test?

Didn’t have one with my first so a bit nervous about this. And not sure what to expect. Been told I can’t eat after 10pm the night before until after the test is done and only water is allowed!

Yes had it with my son, and now having it again this time. Mine is actually tomorrow morning so my 10pm fast has already started.
If I remember correctly with my son they took my blood sample, then gave me the glucose drink to have i finished it and then had to sit in the waiting area for 2 hours. After that my blood was drawn again and I went home and ate. My midwife said my results will be uploaded to the badgernotes app within a couple of days but if it comes back that I have GD I will hear back within 24hours usually xx

I just had mine again on monday. This time I was told I must sit i must not go run Erin's, shop etc or it can mess up the readings. So they draw blood then you drink a drink they give you, then you go wait 2 hours exactly, you must not be late and you must not be sick go back at 2hrs and have the 2nd bloods and result is back next day

Midwife appointments causing more anxiety

I’m 31 weeks and the last couple of times I went to my midwife appointment, I’ve come out of them more anxious about the baby’s movements.

They ask me how the movements and I say that I feel baby everyday a few times a day but that the movements are softer, less kicking more softer pushing movements.

They ask me about the pattern and I say there isn’t a daily pattern really and then they say I should go to triage if I have any concerns and that it’s for me to know if it’s unusual or not and to be honest I just don’t know if it is or not, if I had to go every day it’s not the pattern of the previous day I’d spend every day at triage…

I wasn’t anxious about it before but now they made me anxious and I feel guilty of not going to triage.

Early Labour?

I’m going insane 😩I’m 38 weeks pregnant today, the last week I’ve been having braxton hicks for a few hours and they die off. Today I’ve had a lot of them, then this afternoon they’ve been really consistent - every 2 minutes begining of the afternoon and then at 5pm they were every 5 mins for 2 hours and actually painful to the point where I had to breathe through them, and then at 7pm they just stopped 😩
Apparently this can happen for days before active labour and it’s driving me insane😭 anyone else experiencing this?!!

I get so motivated when I look back at mine. I’ve always been a runner and so naturally, I’m itching to get back to it, but after giving birth my body has a lot of healing to do.

Motherhood is such a journey. Gotta love my body at all stages.

1st Trimester

I hope everyone’s coping well! I’ve found I’m the opposite of most where I’m not feeling ill or nauseous (very thankful) - but I cannot stop eating! It’s ridiculous and I’m going to put so much weight on but I can’t help it. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Extreme Anxiety 😥

Due my 2nd baby, and having a planned section end of July.

It’s only 8th July and I have lightening crotch and pressure on my bladder and struggling to walk but no other symptoms.

I am constantly symptom checking. I cry every day. I’m worried I go into labour and not know. Im worried I get refused my section even though I was told it would be treated as an emergency section.

I have such a fear of natural child birth (long story and ptsd)

I just don’t think I can go another 3 weeks. I feel so lonely and just cry everyday.

My first baby was a planned section and it was the best experience of my life but I have it in my head it’s not going to be the same. And everyone keeps telling me ‘oh you look big I don’t think you’ll make it to end of July’ my head is scrambled.

Nights with a newborn

To moms, I’m worried when my daughter’s born I’ll have a hard time waking up to the crying or that I’ll miss it.. how did you guys adjust is it really hard?
