Advice with teaching One year Old

Hi my daughter is 18months. Today she went to the pediatrician and her pediatrician told me that she behind on her motor skill and verbal skills. I felt devastated by it and want to know how can I teach her words. I’m a busy mom I take care of the house and cook dinner and sometimes it can be rough to keep everything in check. If anyone has any suggestion on how I can communicate with my one year old correctly would be appreciated.

Feeling hopeless, crying my eyes out every night and can’t take this anymore…

My 2.5 year old was an incredibly difficult baby, awake 6,7…8 times a night for about a year. Things plateaued for a while and she was a lovely lovely child, ate well, slept through, so kind and gentle.

Fast forward to now, terrible 2’s doesn’t even cover it. She screams, hits, bites and throws things at me. All. Day. She doesn’t eat ANYTHING, not even her safe comfort foods anymore, she will not go to sleep. It’s taking 3 hours average to put her to bed. I’m eating dinner at 12-1am sobbing through my meal. This is all day, every night. I have gentle parented her, I have kindly disciplined her, firmly disciplined, ignored her, walked away and even gone against my biggest morals and given her a slap on the wrist when she punched me in the eye. I’m at my f*cking whits end and I’m just so depressed and overwhelmed. I genuinely am so patient with anyone and everything but dealing with this day in and day out is making me want to literally run away or in front of a bus.

What time is your baby sleeping?

I felt guilty today when our health visitor said we should aim for baby to have night time routine completed and in bed by 7pm. It just feels way too early, my baby does not settle until much later. I wanted to find out how other parents are doing ?

Waking for feeds

Baby didn't wake for a feed last night, are we waking for feeds in this heat!?? He went 7pm-6am no feed just comfort. Worried he will get dehydrated 😳

My 10 week old daughter won’t sleep

Hi! So my daughter is refusing sleep and we have tried everything possible, currently 3 am and she’s been awake since 11 pm, I’ve fed her, changed her nappy, took her for a walk and even read her stories but nothing seems to be helping and it is so overwhelming, I’ve just started my period too so it’s really hard to rock her and hold her as I suffer with severe period pains and bleeding, I just feel like the worst mom for not being able to help her sleep.

7pm bedtimes

I just read something on FB about 7pm bedtimes and how important they are and it’s sent me spiralling 🫠🫠

My boy is 8 months and generally goes to bed between 8pm-9pm. We’ve tried earlier but he ends up either waking wide awake in the evening or reallllllly early in the morning.

We also have never ever slept through. 3x wake ups is a win! One good thing about him is he generally wakes up for the day from 7:30 onwards.

Is it unfair to say that all babies need a 7pm bedtime or have we just not been consistent enough?!

I think I’m looking for solidarity that I don’t need to do a 7pm bedtime and these statements are unfair 💔

Baby falling

My son 8 months LOVES to move around, from crawling to pulling himself up. There’s times where he looses his balance and falls and we’re not always right next to him, like we let him crawl around and he will decide to pull himself up on something then let go and try to balance so there’s definitely times he falls and bangs his head. I basically got called a bad parent for that today. Is it not normal at this age/stage for kids to be falling when pulling up and bonking their head?
