Anyone else feel completely alone in motherhood?

My husband is great and all but still suffers from the man privilege of being able to take the day to himself to go and enjoy his hobbies. Whilst he tells me I could do the same, it just wouldn’t feel right for me to leave and go off and act like they don’t exist for an entire day.

While pregnant I thought about what I would like to do for the baby's birthday and Christmas, I came from a background where money was tight and these days we got something special. So I remember presents from these days because it was such a special gift. I have seen an idea for a baby's birthday and Christmas which I like to do myself, I think partner is with me because we don't want to go mental on these days, I had people at work that just blew it and how much is actually getting used. A Christmas I had a stocking, a main present and few bits and that was enough, for my birthday it was a main present and few bits.
