C section recovery question

Hi ladies! Quick question hopefully you can help! I had my second baby via c section almost 6 weeks ago. My first c section recovery went really well. My first son was in the NICU for two months and born at 29 weeks. So I had time to heal and rest while he was in the NICU. This time around my recover has been very different. My second baby boy was born at 37 weeks and did not need NICU stay. Once we got home, my incision opened and got infected a week after. I was placed on antibiotics and was allergic to the first two. Finally the 3rd antibiotics started healing my infection. It’s definitely been rough. Finally my incision closed and it’s no longer infected. However, my incision and above still feel really sore. I don’t remember my first c section feeling this way. I was up and going like nothing my first time around. Is this normal almost 6 weeks post c section?
Thank you so much for sharing your experience experiences!

I had the same experience as you with the infections & openings which were an issue for around 10 weeks & caused a lot of pain.
I was definitely sore for a good 5 weeks once they closed up & am still experiencing some discomfort now, I'm 18 weeks PP.

It’s probably taking a while for you to heal because of your infection
Just remember the inside is stitched too . With my c section I was saw for weeks inside and outside too . Everyone is different , tell your doctor, I wouldn’t worry too much 🩵

I am 8 weeks post c section and the area between my belly button and incision still hurt and feel like they have been burned when I touch the skin- apparently it's just the nerves repairing themselves and it's quite normal to get pain or strange sensations there for a while!

I had the same first time experience as you with a 28week nicu baby. This time I had a 37 week c section home regular. I didn’t open up but def a lot more sore and pain. Luckily I went to get check at the 3 week mark and no since of infection.
I def slowed down more and at 13 weeks now just taking it slow but feelings the pressure and surgery when doing daily activities. I’m just giving body more time to heal less picking up toddler and movement

Keep your judgement- advice only!

Had an emergency c section 5 months ago and we will be trying for our second baby at 12 months pp. yea I know the risks, so I don’t need to be reminded of it. We’ve been told 18 between birth and getting pregnant again is ideal but 18m between births is okay. Is there anything o can do to help my c section healing internally to give myself the best chances in my next pregnancy?

Pregnancy exhaustion

Hi everyone. I’m coming up to 12 weeks pregnant and I’m just so tired all the time. The heatwave isn’t helping but I wondered how long everyone else experienced it for or has any tips to get through. It’s my first pregnancy

Does anyone have suggestions for baby names? I'm having a boy

First time mom and having a hard time figuring out the perfect name for my baby boy. I was hoping to come up with a name that has a meaning behind it because I look at him as a miracle. So, if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Hi everyone!

I found out that I was pregnant on June 30 and this whole time I thought I would be a little further (last first day of my period was May 19) along according to my period. However, I ovulated late. So I went and got a ultrasound at a boutique today (on the image it’s going to say seven weeks however, it is very clear this is not a seven week baby) just to figure out what was going on. I was nervous the entire time and had the worst butterflies I’ve ever had in my life. And the ultrasound did confirm and showed that I am looking to be about 5 1/2 to 6 weeks!! I have an appointment coming up for more clarity. But! I am now considered to be a March mom💕 and although I was excited before, I am now overly excited because I am a March baby myself (3/18). I’m glad to be a part of the March 2027 group and I really do hope to talk to y’all more.
