As a newborn your baby should be eating at least every 2hrs or cluster feeding which is normal. The line on the diaper will turn blue if the baby has peed and if baby pooped it usually stinks. It’s good to just check often. All babies are different so don’t feel pressure to do exactly what someone else is doing. It will come naturally to you and you will learn your babies patterns, routines, likes and dislikes. I would find a good pediatrician that you can comfortably ask questions to

I was so overwhelmed with my first and can imagine it being the same with our second now 🤭😅 we just did everything “on demand”. So at first when our baby was crying we would trial and error: breastfeeding, nappy change, sleep/ carrying. Later on we started elimination communication because it helped us a lot. Over time you learn to read their body language so you don’t have to “wait” until they cry :)

You don't 'know' to do 🤣 you just fake it until you make it 🤣. If they are crying you just through the checklist - are they hungry? Are they tired? Do they need a nappy change? Do they need to burp? X
