Bath routines

How many times do you bath a baby week? Mine is 10 months and we bath her every other night, and clean her everyday. I read you shouldn’t bath a baby every day because it can dry out their skin? Just wanted confirmation I’m not doing anything wrong 🤣x

We bath our baby 3x a week. It definitely dries out his skin and worsened eczema patches when we did it more often. Health visitor and GP both confirmed that it doesn't need to be every day.

I only bath my son every 2-3 days and have a wash daily of face, hands feet and bits. I did the same with my first born and he never had any dry skin or eczema. I think bathing daily dries the skin out unless you just use water. You are not doing anything wrong. Some babies like a bath time routine before bed but it’s not needed and definitely don’t need a daily bath for hygiene reasons.

I was doing every other night but recently I have been doing every night. Purely because it’s been hot so baby has been hot, covered in suncream and also gets so mucky at nursery. I figured if I was showering every day I should probably do the same for him. But as long as she’s still getting a clean she’ll be fine!

Nursery complaint about little boy screams

My little boy has always been a screamer and I mean distressing high pitch screaming. I’ve always worried about it and to be honest I dread taking him places because I get embarrassed. My husband has always reassured me it’s fine but today his nursery have mentioned it so I’m getting really worried.
He does it when he’s excited and when he’s unhappy. But he does do it a lot throughout the day.
Has anyone experienced this with their child or older children and how did things turn out? He’s been doing this since 6 months.

He’s saying about 6 words, ball, duck, bubble, dada, mama, book. Give eye contact, responds to his name, interacts with us. Loves other kids.

Thanks!

1 nap at almost 11 months old?

What are the signs that a baby is ready to drop to 1 nap normally? I keep being told 10.5 months is too early for a 1 nap day but she managing long wake windows and starting to fight 2nd nap and bedtime (taking me 1 hour to put down! ) !

Bonding with baby

I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I feel awful saying this but I’m not bonding with her at all.
I don’t know whether it’s because my pregnancy has been on the back burner as we have lost my dad about a month ago, but I just don’t feel close to the baby at all
My first daughter I’m absolutely obsessed with but I just can’t seem to feel that obsession with this baby.

Even when the baby moves and i just don’t feel connected

What can I do?

Did you struggle with breastfeeding?

Hi all, planning on having elective c-section. Wondering if you struggled with breastfeeding due to the c-section, especially colostrum in the early days?

Baby always crying

Ok my baby is 13 days old and seems to constantly cry.. my first was not like this and I’m a single mum so struggling.. she is fed (I think struggling with gas/reflux possibly) changed, etc but always seems unhappy. Especially between 5-11pm but now it also seems to be all day. I take about an hour to console her, then 20 mins or so after I put her in her cot then she wakes and cries more and I do the same thing over and over again… very hard to console and I don’t know what she wants… any suggestions? Anyone been through the same? Thanks!
