Gestational diabetes test
I have my diabetes test this morning so can’t eat or drink anything other than water. Does anyone know if this includes paracetamol? I’ve had a cold for a few days and have a sore throat and headache so want to take some paracetamol but not sure if this affects the diabetes test?

Hi, from what I'm aware you are not supposed to take any medication as it can have an impact on your sugar levels.
It may be worth phoning and seeing if you can delay the test until you are better. I have GD and when I am ill my levels are affected so it’s possible if you are ill you may not get a true test result. Also the test can make you feel a bit crappy weather you have it or not so it might be best left til you are feeling better x
