Im wondering if anyone can shed some light on something for me before I make a phone call. Please don’t judge. My first baby just turned 1 yo but we have been trying to conceive for the last 4 months. Ive lost quite a bit of weight and been taking vitamins etc. However we have been having sex for that year unprotected 4/5 times a week and not fell pregnant once in that year. We decided to start early because I had been told I have Adenomyosis and polycystic ovaries and we wanted our babies close together. We thought with the fact that it technically has been a year that we would’ve got pregnant by now but nothing. Im starting to get disheartened. Im not even sure Im ovulating correctly. I get positive ovulation test but pdg test is always negative so saying I haven’t ovulated and it’s costing too much to carry it on this way. I suppose my question is when do I speak to my doctor?

Sorry you are struggling 🙏🏻 are you breastfeeding?

You can definitely speak to a doctor now about your fertility issues. Especially after a year of trying! My best friend was in the exact same situation as you and has just had her baby so there is definitely hope. I would highly recommend OvuSense to track your ovulation. This is MUCH more accurate than strips especially with PCOS! And also supplements which contain Myo-inositol (this is a MUST!!) pcos is linked heavily to insulin resistance and so some diet and lifestyle changes might also need to be implemented. (High fibre, low sugar, adequate protein, plenty of exercise)
All good things to start before you see a fertility specialist as they will inevitably ask/impliment these things. Always better to be a step ahead :)
Good luck 💕

Myo-inositol regulated my ovulation. I used to ovulate every 90+ days and I got down to 31 day on the dot cycles - also have PCOS x

I think it's worth remembering that for many women, hormones can take two years re-balance. It is one of the reasons I was informed by my mid-wife not to TTC for the first year in addition to protecting the pelvic floor. I would say you're more than entitled to contact a doctor, but I would also say not to be disheartened as it likely hormone imbalances. If it makes you feel better, always contact the doctor but my advice would be try not to worry and keep going x
