Why do people get mad if I don’t answer personal questions? I don’t owe them that if I’m not comfortable.

When it’s personal especially when it comes to my kids.. I have a strong instinct to protect my kids.
I got scared when a complete stranger said my child’s name out of nowhere at an Airbnb I was cleaning. So no they not locals and I never once said my child’s name. They don’t know us. But somehow it scared me because they knew and I would never say my kids name in public. I use other words. I’m just super protective because you never know the dangers we risk our kids in online. people use information you didn’t know wasn’t innocent at all to get near our kids.

People tend to get upset or offended by things they don’t fully understand, but you don’t owe them enlightenment.

There’s been times when I’m in public with my kids and I just have a weird feeling about someone, especially when they’re paying too much attention to my kids, and suddenly I don’t even want to use their names, or nicknames, or my name even. I get it. I’ve straight up told strangers before they don’t need to be talking to my kids or that I don’t need to answer their question. I was raised in an area where women and kids were constantly being taken for trafficking, and I’ve known kids or families whos child was taken.

I’d rather be paranoid and safe than naïve and looking for my babies. We’re working on learning a whole different language so we can communicate in public without everyone in our business lol.
