We live in the US we live in a very red Maga state but I am a democrat. My husband likes to say he’s a republican, but he agrees with me on every point I bring up.😂 I think he just doesn’t care enough to become an enemy of his parents (we love his parents. They’re just very anti-liberal.) lmao
how do I get him more involved into politics and get him to care about the things I care about without talking to him about them? I don’t wanna be crazy about politics all the time and bringing up stuff all the time I want him to bring it up to me.
Also, no hate to any one’s views!! I believe everyone can get along unless you’re MAGA!

I don’t think you can get people interested in something they’re just not in to. But maybe you could help him appreciate why politics matter and impact your lives by being involved with politics locally.

I don’t think it’s fair for you to try to change his views. I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate it if he did that to you…

I don't think you can make people be interested in politics. I also don't think it's really important to make sure everyone in your life is. If you guys are happy and get along in your views it doesn't really affect your lives on the day to day. Trying to coerce him into being more political could cause strife that wasn't there before.

My husband wasn’t interested in politics until he realized how much it affected me & of course it made him feel awful that he just didn’t see how anti women the world was. Like of course he seen more noticeable issues that struck home, like how often single moms try to get their exes to spend quality time w/their kids & then blame the mom when they don’t put in the effort & he’s always pushing for raises & positions for the women he manages & getting mad when they don’t get the promotions he puts them in for, but being a white man, he really didn’t understand just how far it went or how hard women were working to make it appear they believe things were ok just to avoid conflict & keep slowly moving upward. Him & his ex had the same job & same pay for 18yrs, so he didn’t realize it hadn’t shifted that way all over, then he seen my struggles to come back after having a baby, then when his fellow managers started retiring they were hiring in women & only paying them $20k a year for a $54k
