Bath time!

What do you guys do to make after bath time better? My little one loves to be in the bath but as soon as I take her out, she starts screaming and wont calm down for like 30 minutes. I want to make bath time her bed routine when shes old enough but she currently hates getting out. Any suggestions?

I used sing a song 🎶made up one about baby burrito and that seemed like to help her with the transition.

Could it be because she's cold? I use a towel warmer so when I take my LO out he's warm and he's been calmer post bath time because of it.

How old is your baby?
Mine was the same for the first few months. Could she be feeling cold when she gets out of the water?

Mine was the same the first few months. We used a heat pad on her changing mat and under her towel and let her lie on that for 5 mins before we properly dried and dressed her and it helped.

How long are you sterilising bottles?

I did it for the full year as advised with my son but I also find it a little pointless after weaning starts?😅 I’m not sterilising every spoon, plate, cup, bowl etc and didn’t with my son either🤷🏼‍♀️

A friend usually makes comments about what I buy for my baby

My stroller, cutlery sets, car seat etc
The most recent one, the scooter. The comment was something along the lines of “as if going on military operation”. She even noted the brand.
Ffs I got it from Amazon!

I’ve usually feel very weird when she does this because the tone is abit off I don’t know how to describe it.

I know I’ve not given enough info to post here but I just don’t know what to do about this said friend. We usually hang out as a group with other people and I enjoy those other people and she is generally okay except for when is she loudly noting my purchases.

Childhood trauma

I had a pretty traumatic childhood, right through until I was living independently at 18.
Since having my first baby 4 months ago I’ve gone no contact with my mum, mainly because I haven’t heard from her so I’ve decided to completely cut ties.
I didn’t really process my childhood until I had my own child and I’m struggling processing it all and all the memories that constantly flood my brain. I can’t understand how two people can have a child and neglect them so badly. Bully them and make them feel awful about themselves. Get blind drunk and put the pressure of looking after young babies on other children.
Anyone else been through something similar? I’ve always brushed it off but now knowing how much I love my child and how I would do anything for their happiness, it’s hit me how little my parents really cared for me and only now it hurts so badly. My husband doesn’t understand and just says I should consider therapy and doesn’t get why I’m suddenly heart broken over a parent who has always been shit to me and nothing has changed. My friends all have good relationships with their parents.
