Hey mums , I have a planned c section for next Friday but I was wondering if you went early and got an emergency section, How soon did you go from labour to getting the emergency section?
And if you did get an emergency was everyone rushing about? 🥺
It’s my biggest fear. 😧 had a planned section for my first and it was such a great experience I’m worried this will be different and I don’t get my section ðŸ˜

Yes, I’ve had two. My first came 9 days before her elective date and my second was a normal elective.
Despite going into labour early, both experiences were exactly the same. Super calm, controlled, happy and non traumatic. I still got delayed cord clamping, music playing, skin to skin, camera rolling.
I went into labour at work, went to the hospital for monitoring, got prepped and joined the queue for an emergency slot. They leave gaps in the theatre diary every day for just this.
Thank you thank you thank you! Why can’t a midwife just explain this to me? Loll I feel so much better already! Xx

Really calm experience for me most of the way too! My waters went around 2am, called triage, they told me to start making my way in, I got to hospital probably around 3am or just after. Then by around 11am they had my son out. So I did do about 8 hrs of labour, of which probably 1-2 hours were rough. But in all honesty they were probably rough because I was fighting it. If I had progressed quicker, I imagine they would've helped me quicker :) overall the lead up and section were good and the doctors were relaxed for me!
