Worried as a sahm

The biggest worry I have about being a stay at home mom to 4 kids ages 1,5,8,9 and my husband being a truck driver over the road and not having much family support is what if something happens to me? What if the ambulance has to come and I have no one to get my kids? 😢

I would make sure your older ones know how to use a phone properly and have one important point of contact that they can call.

Neurodivergent toddler

Hi ladies

My son is 2.5 and although not diagnosed, we have no doubt that he will receive an autistic diagnosis at some stage in his early years.

I’m after advice on how to get him to eat please🥲 the photo is of the things he eats but recently we’ve been struggling to get him to have that. I mentioned getting him something to eat for lunch and he screamed, throwing his toys around the room.

Honestly, yesterday all day he ate 5 biscuits and a packet of mini rice cakes and that’s it.
We still give him his prescribed formula just so he’s getting some nutrients.
The health visitor who we saw a couple weeks ago doesn’t seem worried, said to drop my son’s morning bottle - easier said than done right?
We have a meeting with the allergy team for a cows milk protein allergy, we’ve been told they work along side dietitians but I’m not feeling hopeful.
I’m in tears almost daily because I’m worried about him not eating much.

Children and screens 🤯

My 3yo is strictly a TV kid, he hasn't ever used a tablet or ipad, phone etc.

We let him have TV but only certain programs, however we don't restrict when he has access to it unless it's mealtimes or near bedtime.

That being said, he actually has very little interest in the TV, only watches a program for 5 minutes, he'd rather play with his toys. He loves toys from TV shows, for example he has all the Paw Patrol figurines, but he's only actually watched a handful of episodes.

We were cuddling and I was showing him photos on my phone from a day out we had the other weekend, which then ended up us looking through all my photos. I let him hold the phone and scroll through them himself and when I tried to take it off him he had the biggest tantrum I've ever seen him have.

He then kept trying to snatch my phone off me which is so unlike him, its like he turned into a different child.

I'm hoping it's just because it was a new thing and not because it was a screen necessarily, but it's definitely made me feel better about my decision to limit his screentime overall. I've given him new things in the past that I've taken away and he's never reacted that way.

How does your child react to screens? I'm curious if you limit your children's screentime, do they act differently when they have access to it?

Fomo partners

My (birth mother and exclusively BF) year’s maternity leave is coming to an end and throughout it, my wife’s had fomo when I’ve had plans. For example, going to baby classes, meeting up for coffee, baby cinema, soft play dates. She said “I’m going to get pregnant so I can have a year off”. I think she thinks I’m living my best life and I’m having so much fun. It’s not been all bad but it has also been hard but I feel she doesn’t think it’s equally as hard as her year.

Just wondering if your partners have had similar mindsets and how you’ve coped with that?

Ideas please

Does anyone know how I can clean my buggy?

I’ve tried dish soap and water a few weeks ago and that didn’t work and then I tried dr beckman stain remover but made it worse. I just hate how it looks 😩

Am I just overreacting

So I had my beautiful daughter two weeks ago, while pregnant my fiance seemed kinda excited not as much as i wished he would be but we would talk about what we thought she was gonna look like and all that fun stuff. Now after she’s born it seems he has little to no interest in spending time with her and I get she’s a newborn but I mean I just lay with her he doesn’t even do that. I grew up with a very present dad so I’m used to that and that could make me a little biased, but he comes home from work and hops on the game and on his days off he’s constantly on the game and I kinda feel I’m doing this without him, am I overreacting if not what do I do?
