My daughter will be 10 months in 2 days and she doesn’t crawl or officially pull to stand . She can get from sitting to hands and knees and sometimes take one or two movements then collapses . She pivots occasionally . She pushes backwards . But has been in this scenario since 7 months . She can hold the sofa or an object for a minute or two when placed . She has pulled to stand on my knees once but never again or never on an object . She can pull from sitting to her knees when she holds a chair or soft . Barely rolls . Is comfortable sitting all day and reaching from sitting for a toy then back to sitting . Can’t go from lying down to sitting . She gets frustrated and screams because she can’t get something and doesn’t know how to reach for it as she hates ending on her tummy . Her legs I’d say are pretty strong she always reaches for me and basically does the pulling up work just using my hands . She is ahead of her social and communication milestones it’s just the motor ones . Any advice ? Is there something that helps . Could this be an issue ? Or any one who has been in a similar situation . I just see all these babies way younger than her crawling around and pulling to stand and I’m starting to be concerned .

I am in the same boat, my daughter is 10 months and only just started rolling back to front, although she was premature and corrected age is closer to 8 months. I totally understand the frustration when they won’t move and just sit there moaning and screaming!! She has also been very vocal from an early age so I think it’s just a case of they are focussing on speech skills rather than motor skills right now, the motor skills will come with time it just might take them a bit longer to get there, but they will happen eventually!

My little one is the same he’s 12 months now, but all of sudden he’s rolling everywhere, weight bearing really well and looking as though he wants to crawl finally but he’s taken a while. He was born at 38 weeks and i think he’s been focusing on his fine motor skills! I saw a physio and she essentially said he’s strong enough he just hasn’t applied it yet (lazy haha) but you’re not alone. I bet she’ll start doing it all at once soon! xx
Thank you !!! It’s such a worry but I’m sure they are fine . Mine was born close to 38 weeks too 💗 exactly like my girl is babbling away knows some animal sounds points waves and claps can call the cats and dogs . I feel she’s strong but maybe the same as yours is a bit lazy 😭 or else she hasn’t figured the co ordination part .
